but i was surprise after like 28days i was billed Rs642.52-/
now i dont understand anymore.
also i have a landline with the connection which they said i have 1000 minutes of local calls, i have been using it, but i wish to recharge it so i can use it to make international calls, how is this possible?
I will really appreciate if somebody can tell me about how airtel charges and how i can recharge the landline.

Posted: 08 Mar 2014 12:42 PM PST Goodbye BSNL! I finally have an viable option and can consign my BSNL broadband connection to the garbage. To be honest the service was not too bad - I had the 8 GB @ 2Mbps plan and by and large connectivity was okay. But the speed was never up to the mark. And on the few times I had problems, their customer service was so bad I felt like ripping the phone lines out of th wall. Firstly, they only work from around 10 AM to 5 PM. So what happens if there is a problem outside thosehours and urgent work is held up? And if you do call during working hours, it takes ages for anyone to answer - the average is the phone rings for about 10 minutes. And once you get an asnwer the oeprator is least interested in hearing about the problem - she is in a rush to give you a complaint number and go off.
But what made me decide to finally give BSNL the kick was a couple of weeks ago when the connection kept going on and off every few minutes. After the usual headaches I was able to maek a complaint in the morning. When nothing was done till late afternoon I spent another half an hour tryign to call them again. When I got through and said that nothing had been done about my complaint, the operator said that there is nothing she can do and gave me the number of the local telephoen exchange and said I should phone them. That number was, of course, always busy.
Another ongoing issue with BSL is that at fixed times everyday - aroud 5 PM and 10 AM in my case, the bandwidth dropped considerably. Other sers tell me that this is because BSNL allows public sector clients to use excess bandwidth - its a government to government thing and the hell with private users.
There are other service providers who offer up to 40 GB downlaod (upload not taken into account for calculating usage) at speeds of up to 15 Mbps. There is no reason why anyone should use BSNL. I am happy I got rid of this third rate organization. |

BSNL recharge on unlimited plan Posted: 08 Mar 2014 12:37 PM PST Hello, Just got a evdo prepaid card and SIM. I paid 1199 and they gave free 399 rs amount in the account. I asked them about the unlimited plan and they told me to recharge another 400 rs and it will become unlimited. So I went to paytm website and recharged 400 rs and now the balance is approx 915 rs. But still when I browse, I get SMS like "your balance is deducted so and so"..
If I'm on unlimited plan, why do I receive such sms?
Also how to confirm that I'm in unlimited plan.
when I went to register http://genext.bsnl.co.in/cdmaprepaid , it sent me a PIN number to my CDMA number, but I didn't receive it still, so cant use that site at the moment.
Please help. |
New BBG 795 plan from BSNL (Not so great) Posted: 08 Mar 2014 11:38 AM PST http://chennai.bsnl.co.in/News/BBGULD795.htm
795 - 2 mbps for 8 GB & 512 kbps beyond.
Basically, they have cloned the 900 plan & removed the 350 calls & made it as per existing landline plan. Might turn to be expensive if you dont have a higher range landline plan. If you are in the 900 plan, you are better off continuing perhaps On a second glance, looks like they have brought back the stand alone BB plan of 800, but instead of 1 mbps till 6 GB, they have replaced it with 2 mbps till 8 GB & reduced Rs.5 to that plan.. People on BB Home ULD 800, should probably look to migrate to this one. But yeah, better read the fine print to make sure you are not loosing something.. |

MTNL VDSL Model disconnection issues Posted: 08 Mar 2014 09:48 AM PST Hi I have an MTNL VDSL connection, with an Alphion ARGT 1040 wired model(supplied by MTNL), used in conjunction with a DLink Wireless modem. My connection keeps dropping very frequently, and it always gets fixed by restarting the MTNL modem. Has anyone else faced this issue, and is there a fix for this? Apologies if this has already been addressed at another place in the forum..

Posted: 08 Mar 2014 09:06 AM PST Hello Friends, I need some help and advice on a problem i am facing. I live in chandigarh but now for work purposes i have to go to delhi after every 10 days. I had vodafone but in chd 3g is not available. So, i opted for Tata docomo as it has good 3g plan and nice speed. I got 3g prepaid sim and paid 251 something for 1 Gb 3g data. When i moved to Delhi i was shocked to see that they don't have coverage and the data plans doesn't work. I mean i was charged for the data and i lost around 210 bucks. When contacted tata docomo they told me that its chargable but there was no proper answer and they told me that they can recharge my TD for 130 rs talktime as around 210 rs. Were gone frm my balance due to data usage. I was not aware of this so it really screwed my trip. My first question is Why was i charged? I now know there is no TD in delhi but shouldn't they take care of that by payin the other networks which the phone catches in delhi. In my case it was Idea. My second question is What is the best 3G operator in Chandigarh(pb) which is also good in roaming. I don't want Delhi sim because the base of my work changes to mumbai or kolkatta. Please help and advice me on this. Thank You, Nitin |

Posted: 08 Mar 2014 06:57 AM PST Hey guys, I am from south Delhi thinking to switch to Nextra cuz its more economical then Airtel. I have been exteremly satisfied with Airtel services so far. Net is amazing. Zero downtime, constant ping. Can I expect the same from Nextra? I am currently on Airtel Rapid 80 under 20% discount offered by retention team last month. I'll call them again at end of this month to discontinue. I'll stick to them if they offer them true unlimited plan with at least bps speed. Any one aware if they currently have 2 or 4mbps retention plan if so what are there prices? Thanks! With atleast 2mbps speed* Sry for typo |

You broadbad - worst service and speed Posted: 08 Mar 2014 02:46 AM PST I am using you broadband in wakad pune. My experience with you is very bad. The speeds are never as per the plan you are on. On weekends, its almost unusable. The call center people take a lot of time to answer your calls. Many times i had hang up as no one was picking up the call. My recent experience is worst. My net was down for more than a week. And the suport person arrived only after my recharge was expired and i refused to renew as the net was down (I received a lot of calls from them to renew). Reminding to renew is the only thing they are good at. Please beware of you broadband. |
