Funny Videos, Images and Jokes Posted: 18 Jan 2014 12:01 PM PST MS staff There was a pilot flying a small single engine charter plane, with a couple of very important executives on board. He was coming into Seattle airport through thick fog with less than 10m visibility when his instruments went out. So he began circling around looking for landmark. After an hour or so, he starts running pretty low on fuel and the passengers are getting very nervous. Finally, a small opening in the fog appears and he sees a tall building with one guy working alone on the fifth floor. The pilot banks the plane around, rolls down the window and shouts to the guy "Hey! Where am I?" To this, the solitary office worker replies "You're in a plane." The pilot rolls up the window, executes a 275 degree turn and proceeds to execute a perfect blind landing on the runway of the airport 5 miles away. Just as the plane stops, so does the engine as the fuel has run out. The passengers are amazed and one asks how he did it. "Simple" replies the pilot, "I asked the guy in that building a simple question. The answer he gave me was 100 percent correct but absolutely useless, therefore that must be Microsoft's support office and from there the airport is just a while away." __________________________________________________________ Is Windows a virus? Tikona Broadband User Experiences Posted: 18 Jan 2014 11:09 AM PST Thought I would start another thread for people who have actually used this service to describe their experience. They have started advertising quite heavily in Bombay and their plans seem pretty decent. Their 600kbps UL plan would be excellent for me. I really like the way they have bill limits for their limited plans as well. That shows they understand consumer concerns about enormous bills and have designed their plans to allay them. So how good is their service? Any down time? How quickly do they respond to complaints? Really any information from people who have used Tikona would be appreciated. |

Is BSNL good for online gaming Posted: 18 Jan 2014 08:59 AM PST Hello, I want to play games online like CS Source, Bf3. I am currently using STN, Backbone Airtel(not sure what that means). I have tried playing CS Source but i have ping around 300+ on Asia 24/7 office server and my current connection is quite unstable. I am thinking of getting a bsnl broadband connection. I tried googling but there are mixed reviews some say it is good some say it is bad. Overall, I want to know if bsnl has low ping under 150ms and the connection is stable. Please tell me some affordable plans my budget is under Rs. 1000 I live in Rudrapur, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand Good-bye! |

When will BSNL launch new plans ? Posted: 18 Jan 2014 08:33 AM PST hi Guys,
Its frustrating that BSNL is yet to launch truly unlimited 1/2/4 Mbps plans for < 1500Rs. Its perpetually offering 512Kbps speeds from last 4-5 years. Not only that, they are not even offering speed boost say after 6pm like MTNL does. Its not only about downloading torrents. Even if i want to watch Youtube files, I am not able to with 512kbps. They should start offering speed boost to 2/4Mbps at 6pm to 8am slot if offering the same at daytime is not possible. What can we do in this situation ? Can we all raise a CRM ticket at selfcare portal to demand this ?

MTNL Broadband VDSL2 User Experiences Posted: 18 Jan 2014 07:15 AM PST I wanted to start a new experience thread simply to discuss MTNL VDSL.
SNR margins (SNRM)
Higher you sync rate, lower the SNRM will be. Lower the SNRM, lower the connection reliability. Lower reliability means frequent disconnections. Hence ISP's have a setting in DSLAM to artificially increase SNRM value for a particular phone line. Hence you sync at lower rate and line automagically becomes stable.
Attenuation may not be that important after all. It reduces sync speeds over a distance but is not an indicator of connection reliability. (You can roughly calculate your line length from it. Do it here) Apply for VDSL connection only if you are within half km. Otherwise you will get ADSL like sync rates. I will update this entry with some of our findings. Since VDSL is somewhat new to India, this thread can help some early adopters.
Currently the speeds are decent for fast servers. But single streams are slow due to a bottleneck somewhere.

Arvind Kejriwal: Might run for Lok Sabha if people want me to... Posted: 18 Jan 2014 06:31 AM PST हमें समर्थन देकर कांग्रेस पछताएगीः केजरीवाल - Navbharat Times Saw this during his interview. I guess the problem is there. Congress would not let the AAP government in Delhi for 5 years. If they take back support after the general elections, he loses the momentum that could help him and AAP before the elections. It is going to be quite interesting what he does. In the end, fact remains he is going to be more effective in Delhi as a CM than as a leader of a party with few MPs in the parliament. |

Posted: 18 Jan 2014 05:12 AM PST I found a little nice chart posted on vuze wiki page that shows a recent information about which ISP in india are bad and throttle torrent activities .
Here is the chart
I will post the link here if anyone is interested to know more about it : http://wiki.vuze.com/w/Bad_ISPs
Finally if you think you know an ISP who is not listed in the chart but is definitely throttling torrent then post it here , Also if you think an ISP in this chart no longer throttles torrent then do comment and let others know .
Main aim of this thread will be to help people in selecting the right ISP if there main usage will be related to torrents . |
