It's not clear what resolution Lenovo has in store for the phones, but if the S920's 5.3-inch screen size proves true, it's likely to be of the 720p variety. The S820 is more of an unknown, but the Chinese site maintains it's meant for a more fashionable, female demo.

Faster Android updates? Motorola is fast. They released KitKat for Moto X before Google released KitKat for Nexus 4 right? 

18 month Android updates? Motorola might or might not support their devices for 18 months? Maybe they would beat Google with a longer support?

Photo Sphere capable camera? 

Disadvantages? 

You lose Motorola enhancements. Which are not that many on G as they are on X.

I hope Google launches this edition in India. Would be more interested in this compared to Motorola's version.
