The editor-in-chief of a leading investigative magazine is being probed over claims that he sexually assaulted a woman colleague, a senior police official said on Friday, after the media, activists and politicians urged a criminal prosecution.
The case came to light after the victim complained in an email to a superior that Tarun Tejpal, founder of the award-winning weekly, Tehelka, assaulted her twice in a hotel elevator during a conference in the resort state of Goa this month.

While she has not formally complained against Tejpal, police said they decided to act on the basis of the media reports of the leaked complaint, and that Tejpal could face charges of outraging the modesty of a woman and rape.

What were all-in-one I have seen seem interdependent. For example, I am not able to scan till I have both B&W & Colour ink cartridges, similarly unable to print until I have a colour cartridge.

So does any multifunction device, all them to work independently, i.e allow to scan without ink & allow to print black without colour...

I am getting a very low speed on BBG FN COMBO 600 connection. I have tested it in "http://speedtester.bsnl.co.in/" and it shows as "417.10kbps" = "52.14 KB/sec" which is very slow.

Expected is "2Mbps" = "200KB/sec". What should I do ? Can someone throw some light on this ? Has anyone experienced this earlier ?

I have recently bought a new modem "TP-Links model no:- TD-W8961ND" I installed it fine and it connects to the internet fine, but my problem is I cannot connect or disconnect manually... it connects to the internet on startup... and if I want to disconnect from the internet I have to switch off the modem..  It connects through local area connection and not Ethernet hoe to make a proper connection? my operating system is windows 8 Pro please help please

I am using BSNL broadband connection with linksys wireless router to use my wireless internet connection.

I am using windows7 laptop, Iphone and here is my problem

- Whenever i connect to my wireless internet from my laptop i have to run "ipconfig /release and ipconfir/renew" to get connected to internet

- Whenever i connect to my wireless internet from my iphone i have to go to settings wireless on & off to get connected to internet

The Reserve Bank of India has made it mandatory for banks to implement Aadhaar authentication for card transactions at merchant locations.
The central bank said "all new card's present infrastructure" has to be enabled for recent security measures, including an embedded EMV chip and a mandatory PIN, besides Aadhaar validation at point of sale (PoS) terminals.

The format for the men's event in next year's tournament has been changed following an increase in teams from 12 to 16. As the teams' seeding are based on the T20I Team Rankings as on October 8, 2012, the top eight sides following the conclusion of last ICC World Twenty20 will play directly in the Super 10 stage and India is one such side.

 

Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, which finished outside the top eight, will participate in the first round that will be held from 16-21 March. The first round of the men's event will include eight sides that will be divided into two groups of four teams each, with the table-toppers progressing to the Super 10 stage.

 

In the first round, Group A will feature host Bangladesh alongside three teams that will qualify from the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier UAE 2013, to be staged from November 15 to 30. i just booted my custom made windows 7 pc from hibernation , and there was a weird looking some blue screen type screen , and NO its not like the crashing blue screen in was different ,and before i could understand what was happening , the normal boot process happened and my computer resumed from hibernation all things looked fine but , the date of my pc was 2009   , i did internet date update and its ok now .

but whats the deal ? what happened ? can anybody help ? its my work computer , what do i do? i feel threatened

Some things to consider before/after taking a new VDSL connection

SNR margins (SNRM)
Below 9 dB : Poor experience with lots of HEC and CRC errors. Line will disconnect frequently.
9   - 11  dB : Ok but not ideal. Disconnections will be there if some unexpected variance is introduced by rains, humidity in the wire.
12 - 16  dB : Ideal and realistic value. Expect almost no disconnections as the line has more wiggle room for tolerating variances.
17 dB and up : God Mode. Lucky few get this on VDSL synced at 30 mbps and up. So far I have seen various stats and no one has reported this SNRM (That is because VDSL sync rates are always higher)

Higher you sync rate, lower the SNRM will be. Lower the SNRM, lower the connection reliability. Lower reliability means frequent disconnections. Hence ISP's have a setting in DSLAM to artificially increase SNRM value for a particular phone line. Hence you sync at lower rate and line automagically becomes stable.

Attenuation may not be that important after all. It reduces sync speeds over a distance but is not an indicator of connection reliability. (You can roughly calculate your line length from it. Do it here)

Apply for VDSL connection only if you are within half km. Otherwise you will get ADSL like sync rates.

I will update this entry with some of our findings. Since VDSL is somewhat new to India, this thread can help some early adopters.

Currently the speeds are decent for fast servers. But single streams are slow due to a bottleneck somewhere.

I just placed an order from Dominos. But what happened is the money got deducted from my account, and their systems close after 11 pm. I started placing my order just at 10:59 before they close their systems. I got an error after typing credit card details that "Sorry we're closed now etc". But I received SMS that money has been deducted from account. What to do now? Will they refund my money back? I called their store, but they said they didn't receive my order. Please help

Lumia 1320, better known by its unofficial "Batman" nickname. There aren't many clues to the specs, although it's clear that the phone would take advantage of Windows Phone GDR3's support for large displays. The side trim also supports theories that this is a Lumia 625-style budget handset, not a flagship. 

So not really power-packed handset, just big screen. Hopefully it has 1 GB RAM, unlike 625 which has 512 MB RAM.

i have recharged my bsnl 3g with 98 rs giving me 770mb 3g as i confirmed frm cc that 3g and 2g now merged and phone using 3g network cant use 2g packs then i went and placed the sim of mine in nokia 1650 2g and went and recharged it with 98 rs and now giving me above 3mbps

Looking for a screen protector basically. Have no options locally.
