help with very slow browsing speed. Posted: 17 Oct 2013 12:30 PM PDT hi guys, i am facing a very strange problem with my net. my net is pretty stable and download speed is good enough. but browsing totally sucks. the sites get stuck. on some forums the list of topic loads without a problem but if i open a thread it only loads the top half of the page and the actual threads never load. if i visit snapdeal the product pages open fine except the portion where it shows the price of the product. some youtube videos play totally fine and some almost never load, i can open espncricinfo page but if i open the score/commentary page the main section never opens.. i tried clearing cookies and cache but didnt help. and the problem can not be on my pc since i am facing the same issue on my laptop. the dslreport speed test gives the following result download speed : 664 Kb/s , Upload speed : 58 Kb/s, Latency : 148ms ok guys it looks like the setting of my new wifi router+modem could be the problem. ill post some screenshots asap |
Need Truly Unlimited Plans without Caps Posted: 17 Oct 2013 12:22 PM PDT For the move back to India I'm looking for unlimited broadband plans. But all of them seem to have some "cap" where the speeds are greatly reduced after a certain limit. I can't tolerate that with my heavy gaming and downloading. Does anyone know of service providers in Chennai who offer unlimited broadband?
Reliance and Airtel both seem to have these "caps". I don't mind paying whatever amount is necessary to have true unlimited broadband... |
How to disconnect a postpaid Reliance CDMA connection? Posted: 17 Oct 2013 12:22 PM PDT I went to the local reliance world and they told me to go to another one in a congested location. Is there any other way to apply for a postpaid number disconnection? Something that can be done online or on phone? |

Then slowly adverts started inbetween overs which was fine .. To my horror when I was seeing highlights today on star cricket HD this is what i see ...
Is this allowed?? If yes, then what are we paying a premium for ?? |

Is it possible for DNS server to change automatically? Posted: 17 Oct 2013 10:16 AM PDT Is it possible for Airtel or someone to change DNS servers automatically on my router setup page.
Every two weeks or so my ipv4 DNS servers automatically change from Google to some random IP which doesnt respond and takes my internet connection down. Is this a sign that my router is hacked or is Airtel responsible for the IP change

Airtel 4G dongle WORST.............. Posted: 17 Oct 2013 09:18 AM PDT Please Please dont go for Airtel 4G dongle.............. Activation is a biggest problem in Airtel 4G, it near to 20 days after i bought Airtel 4G dongle including Sim. But the sim is not yet activated. If i call the customer care (18001030405) they said my document details are not updated in Airtel site, so i have to contact the executive who provided the dongle, if i cal that guys (Lokesh - 8792392296 and his manager VidyaSagar - 9731552441 ) they never responded. i was calling more than 50 times for both the numbers daily but no response (some time i received "Call waiting"). |

Not able to setup D-Link WIRELESS N 300 ADSL2+ ROUTER DSL-2750U Posted: 17 Oct 2013 07:43 AM PDT Hi, |
Want to switch from MTNL in Malad (East), Mumbai. Suggestions? Posted: 17 Oct 2013 07:34 AM PDT Hello,
I'm currently using the MTNL 450 plan. This month onwards, they've downgraded the speeds for the same. There are many disconnections too, and I'm looking to switch to some other ISP.
Which ISPs are reliable and provide a good speed, with no FUP, in the 500-800/month range?
I'm considering the Hathway Speedway 1. Any other good choices out there? |
BSNL EVDO speed is pretty decent in the morning Posted: 17 Oct 2013 07:23 AM PDT
If they can maintain the speed 24hours it would be great
STV used: Rs55 Unlimited
On website its written 1day unlimited but those who have used it might know already that its 2days unlimited
BSNL still the best in Wireless Broadband |
