I have a broadband connection from MTNL Delhi on which I have been facing problems from time to time as other members using an MTNL connection also have reported. But this time it has broken all records for me. It has been 19 days since I could use my broadband connection on my PC at my home as there has been no phone or broadband connection for the last nineteen days.

Seeing the posts on this forum, which I always have found helpful, I had written emails to various officers e.g., helpdesk.delhi@bol.net.in, deintcc@bol.net.in, gmbb@bol.net.in, amth@bol.net.in but to no avail. Everytime I book a complaint for phone or broadband online or over my mobile phone, the complaints mysteriously disappear (for which I doubt the lineman who is a wretched guy) without my problem being solved at all. I also called up many important persons in the MTNL telephone exchange from where my phone and broadband connection is controlled from AM to the Officer in charge of broadband but to no avail.

Once after emailing to the Broadband GM I got a "cc" of a reply which forwarded my complaint to the concerned AM at the exchange to take appropriate action. The next day I got a call from the same office enquiring about the location of my phone connection and also whether I was facing the problems which I mentioned above.

After that when I checked the Complaint Status on the Fault reporting Website, it showed "CBD BOOKED" pending at CBD. Does anyone on this forum know what this means? Also when I called up the Broadband in-charge at the Exchange he said, "Kaam Chal raha hai. Do ek din mein theek ho jayga".

However, a few days later this complaint also disappeared and the showed NO COMPLAINT PENDING to my frustration. So, I again booked a new complaint and also wrote another email to , again without any response.

So, someone please tell me what to do in my situation to get my Broadband working? Any suggestion towards this will be very much appreciated. Thank you.

I would like to close my HDFC credit card & take a Citibank credit card. I know I need to talk to the HDFC CC and/or send a mail to their CC department for the same. However, my question is what are the documents and proofs that I should want from them that my credit card account has been closed and I won't be charged further? (like for example, you get a NOC when you close your car/home loan). Anyone who has prior experience of closing a credit card can share his/her experience.

Can someone tell me, is my downstream and upstream ok ?

Also, i am suffering from bad line quality C grade in speedtest.net and the main problem is speedtest taking long time to complete test and upload stuttering and taking long tym and ping sometime 12/14/18 and sometime 52/42 ?

And which modulation should i use, i am currently using G.dmt and annex/a , i m just 2 km far away from mtnl exchange

Its very very disappointing to use RELIANCE broadband service. Guys if you really want to get frustrate then you can go for it.

If not go through what I had suffer with reliance.

I have applied for the connection online for reliance, upon which one guy call me after 24 hours said that he is the person who will give me the connection. I said k and he came to my place to get the documents and the money. He told me that he will be able to give the connection in next 24 hours. But when he didn't come back after 2  days also I call him back. The person told me that he will come tomorrow and fix the line. he came next day and fixed only the wires, when I asked him he told me that they don't have modem in stock so he told me to wait for 2 more days. After two days when I call him continuously he didn't even bother to receive the call. Somehow I manage to call their higher authority and got the connection done with heavy frustration.

Finally I got my connection on 15 august 2013. I work for 24 hours perfectly. After that it suddenly stop working. I complained to customer care, They said they have taken down my complain and provided me with the complain number and they also said that my issue will be resolve in 24 hours. Believe me  I was very shocking for me when I call then asked for the status of my complain, they said  its already been sorted out. When I said nothing is done, and still internet is not working, they took my complain and again provided me with the second complain number. After few days when I asked for the termination of the connection they asked to keep patience and your issue will be resolve in next 24 hours.

All the above mention are the initial problem I face with reliance.

After that also , the connection get fail quiet frequently, MY suggestion to you all is that "DON'T USE RELIANCE BROADBAND"  if you don't want to a waste your time after that. Previously I had use airtel, I think I m going to continue with that now. Its a bit expensive but you will  not have complain in the connection part.

Also I should not for get to mention that to call reliance customer care is one of the biggest headache and time waste. because it take its own luxury time to get connect. I think there is shortage of staff or are not trained properly.

hi friends  iam using bsnl broadband and i bought asus dsl n10e(modem router) which i installed in the third floor i can access intenet wirelessly from the third floor without any problem but i cannot access the wifi from the second floor as the signal strength is so weak . i also got the bsnl vmc modem router which is lie in the corner and collecting dust .so i thought of may be i can use this bsl vmc wifi modem router as a brdige  modem. i will be keeping the second modem (bsnl vmc ) in the second floor.can somebody plz shed a light on how to set it up .  kindly guide me how to configure it .
My setup                            
ISP-----splitter---asus router(which is in the 3 floor)---Rj 45 wire connects to Lan port of asusrouter and connects to the lan port of bsnl vmc(modem router) which is in the 2 floor.
