ChessCube.com - 1k+ ping. Facebook - 800ms~
etc.
Can't keep using MTNL with these numbers. However, is there anyway to talk to these guys to get this improved? I've pretty much exhausted the local exchange... these south delhi guys are absolutely useless. |

Could this be a reason of decline in A110 stock, and increase in prices of the limited stocks. Also, would this be the new recommendation over iBall Andi 4.5h |

This is apparently an official ad released by Samsung. Being touted as one of the world ads they ever released. Yes, it is indeed that bad. |
Speedtest results of MTNL FTTH Delhi Posted: 25 Aug 2013 10:25 AM PDT I'm looking forward to MTNL Fibre. Just want to improve my ping on gaming servers. Basically I get 15-20 ms ping on speedtest.net (Delhi servers). Is there any improvement with fibre??
Plzz guyz if you can post the results that would be really helpful.

Starting a DC++ Hub for BSNL Users Posted: 25 Aug 2013 08:55 AM PDT I tried making a hub on DC network but failed. I am using a BSNL broadband. |
Posted: 25 Aug 2013 08:34 AM PDT I had two BSNL broadband connections, one of which dated back to 2004-5. Since last two years one of my connection was giving problem during rainy season, during rains it used to frequently disconnect and my complaint to them met deaf ears. Once a pro BSNL customer, I finally decided to get rid of them and shift to airtel, I applied for surrender of both my connections and two new connections from airtel. Got the airtel connection the very next day, where BSNL took 10 days and various visits to get one of my connection disconnected, while they refuse to disconnect another one on the pre-text that they need the modem they had provided me to be returned. The modem in question was given to me in 2010 upon opting for 1yr committed period ( I had disconnected my line for a year in 2009, so it was kind of new connection in 2010), their service record shows "FREE" modem, and they saying that I need to return them the "FREE" modem. Hilarious, I know, I went and spoke to the DE who is not willing to listen, spoke to the CO, who says she cant do anything and I need to speak to the DE, at the end frustrated I was, I requested the CO to charge me for the modem in the next bill but at least disconnect the broadband. She says she will try to speak to the DE and get it charged in the next bill and let me know. They don't even understand the meaning of "FREE".
Finally, good riddance ! (provided they disconnect by charging me for the modem Rs 1000/-) |
Funny Videos, Images and Jokes Posted: 25 Aug 2013 08:34 AM PDT MS staff There was a pilot flying a small single engine charter plane, with a couple of very important executives on board. He was coming into Seattle airport through thick fog with less than 10m visibility when his instruments went out. So he began circling around looking for landmark. After an hour or so, he starts running pretty low on fuel and the passengers are getting very nervous. Finally, a small opening in the fog appears and he sees a tall building with one guy working alone on the fifth floor. The pilot banks the plane around, rolls down the window and shouts to the guy "Hey! Where am I?" To this, the solitary office worker replies "You're in a plane." The pilot rolls up the window, executes a 275 degree turn and proceeds to execute a perfect blind landing on the runway of the airport 5 miles away. Just as the plane stops, so does the engine as the fuel has run out. The passengers are amazed and one asks how he did it. "Simple" replies the pilot, "I asked the guy in that building a simple question. The answer he gave me was 100 percent correct but absolutely useless, therefore that must be Microsoft's support office and from there the airport is just a while away." __________________________________________________________ Is Windows a virus? No, Windows is not a virus. Youtube Download Interruption - Bsnl usof rural home combo uld 500 plan Posted: 25 Aug 2013 08:30 AM PDT Hi guys, I am using BSNL USOF RURAL HOME COMBO ULD 500 Plan for my home broadband connection. Under this plan, BSNL offers network speed of 512 kbps upto a monthly download limit of 6 GB, and 256 kbps thereafter, every month. I pay Rs.500/- monthly to BSNL, against Broadband service.
Youtube videos are not downloading properly in my BSNL connection, when network speed changes to 256 kbps, after crossing 6 GB monthly download limit. Youtube videos with Average bit rate of 256 kbps or lower, download without any problem. The problem is with Youtube videos with Average bit rate higher than 256 kbps. During download of this type of Youtube videos, the data transmission completely stops for time intervals ranging 10 seconds to several minutes, and then resumes. This halt of data transmission appears several times during each video download. Sometimes, the halted data transmission never resumes, and the download is disrupted forever. To resume download in this case, I am forced to reload the corresponding Youtube page. During halt of data transmission, the "INTERNET" and "ETHERNET" lights on my BSNL Modem completely stop blinking. "DSL" light on Modem remains stable.
It has turned out to be almost impossible to download most Youtube videos at 256 kbps net speed.
Other than this problem, my BSNL connection is fine at 256 kbps network speed. Download from all other video sources is normal at 256 kbps network speed.
I complained to BSNL several times, but BSNL is not rectifying the problem.
Now, I plan to file suit against BSNL in a Court of Law, on this problem.
Could this be a communication error between BSNL Routers and Youtube Server ?
Is BSNL intentionally regulating my Youtube download speed ?
Kindly advise. Thanks in advance. |
ACT Broadband Bangalore Reviews Posted: 25 Aug 2013 08:29 AM PDT Hello Readers, My name is Vivek Sinha Anurag and i am going to post some "great" work shown by Act Broadband. I applied for ACT Broadband 5 Mbps plan [its having cap value of 35GB after that speed will reduce to 256 kbps] by calling their customer care on 16th Aug 2011. I was surprised to see their lightening fast response as the representative came to my doorstep the very next day and on 17th Aug 2011 Mr Ashitt O.S. collected the money and documents and told me that withing 5 days i will get my connection and i even got sms confirmation that my request no is 142263. Now the real story started. Even after 6 days no one ever bothered to check my request so i called customer care [ 080-42840000] to remind them and i was told that i will get it withing next 2 days. I waited for next 2 days and called them again. I was surprised to learn a new technical term from them that they are "Uploading network" hence its taking time and soon i will get my connection. Since my work was getting affected because of their delay i applied for a BSNL connection too. Now today is 5th September and i am still waiting for the connection and to my surprise i got the BSNL broadband last week. I tried escalating this matter and asked the customer care for any high level contact and they said that i need to mail helpdesk@acttv.in. I emailed them but i got no response. Please note some points regarding ACT broadband before applying ACT broadband 1. They dont have nodal officer/appellate authority [against TRAI rules and i have already escalated this matter to TRAI officials with the help of pgportal.gov.in] 2. They have a customer base of 2500 users in bangalore and they are not able to manage even this small number. 3. They DO NOT PROVIDE STATIC IP [even if they claim to do so] 4. Their customer care service is useless. All you will losse is your balance by talking to them 5. They can "Upload network" [You can imagine the understanding capability of their technicians] 6. They are fast in collecting money but lazy in delivering service Final conclusion: To be on safe side stay away from them else you will suffer like me. Morning shows the day and even before using their service i am suffering. Don't know what will happen when i get the connection and i face any problem that time. |

MTNL Important Contact details i.e e-mail address or mobile no. Posted: 25 Aug 2013 04:58 AM PDT Hello, I know that this information is somewhere in the forum because I came across it a while ago. However, I was unable to find it using the search function. Can someone please post the contact details of some important people in MTNL (MD, Chief Engineer, Delhi head etc...), who I can get in touch with regarding a persistent issue that customer care cannot help me with? I remember there being a post quite some time ago in which the poster mentioned that if you e-mail certain people they will make sure that your complaint is followed up and looked in to. Thanks a lot! |
