AmazonGlobal Saver Shipping: FREE AmazonGlobal Shipping on Orders of $125 or More! Posted: 25 Nov 2012 12:29 PM PST Quote: Almost everything on amazon is cheaper than it is on flipkart, ebay or even in the stores in Delhi. Key is buying things from Amazon that will not get damaged in transit. Amazon.com: American Tourister Laptop Case (Black with Grey): Clothing This bag was selling for Rs 3900 in More Megamart near my home in Delhi today. Some SSD drives are 50% cheaper on Amazon compared with Flipkart even after accounting for custom duty. I have a feeling that we in India are getting ripped off by both the retailers as well as by our government in the form of taxes and bribes that are extorted from business owners on each step of the way. Custom duties of India alone can't account for this price differential. Something is very very wrong with the retail business in India. |
Tata DOCOMO GSM: Intra Circle MNP Posted: 25 Nov 2012 12:17 PM PST Maybe you all are logically right. It seems TD encouraging us to move from them, because MTS gonna acquire Aircel. Aircel has the highest mkt share in TN next to Airtel. And TD sharing aircel towers in TN circle. |

Posted: 25 Nov 2012 11:14 AM PST Do we have to put forward a request for MTNL to enable IPv6 for our ADSL connection or it starts by itself as soon as we get IPv6 capable modem? |
Posted: 25 Nov 2012 11:01 AM PST I have bought around 15 books from Infibeam and Flipkart combined since September. Both are equally good and do deliver. I pay by netbanking only and have never used COD because I use my office address. Mostly I place the order where the price is lower. I had problem only once with infibeam because they sent the book through a courier company called 'India on time' (indiaontime.com) and the courier company just kept my packet with them for a few days and updated the online status as 'door locked'. This is when my office was open. Clearly this courier company was lying. So, I called the infibeam customer support and they followed up with the courier company to get the book delivered next day. Infibeam's packets that are sent through Blue Dart are delivered very fast. Flipkart's delivery is very slow. For my last 5 orders, they have always taken 3 or more working days to deliver the book that is shipped from Bombay or Bangalore. Buying imported books direct from Amazon sometimes works out to be cheaper and faster than Infibeam or Flipkart. I have bought a few books from Amazon and like their service. Also for some books that I intend to read only once and that are not meant for use in my office, I check the price of kindle edition because it is almost always cheaper and deliver is instant. Hope it helps those who are thinking about buying books online in future. |
Dual boot LM & W7 - Need help on updating LM Posted: 25 Nov 2012 10:47 AM PST ^Yes. Download http://download.cnet.com/MiniTool-Pa...-10962200.html. rebuild MBR . Reboot into windows, run the wizard and delete the Linux partition. Then install ubuntu. Read this on the Ubuntu forums long ago, should work. Although, there might be more efficient ways of doing the same. |
Terminating mtnl connection...help needed guyz...! Posted: 25 Nov 2012 10:21 AM PST There are no loopholes. Go to the CSC and get your connection terminated. They'll created a work order and your kind will be disconnected in less than a week at the most. If the modem had been taken on on rent it has to be returned. Security deposit if any, will be given back to you. |
