I have been using reliance lease line since the past year and have noticed speeds to servers outside of India slowing down to a crawl on my 20mbps link I gets 2mbps if I am lucky i get speeds of aroung 16 mbps on psn and 10 mbps on xbox live

is it supposed to give me such low speeds and also twitch.tv doesnt work at all on their network as i can only get upto 256kbps on that website so every stream lags and i am not able to broadcast as well.

The only advantage i have had with reliance is that i can get low pings to servers outside india 180 ms to europe which is impossible on airtel.

Guys i have also noticed one thing when i use google dns the speed of the connection goes down from 20mbps to 256 kbps max .

So am i being scammed or what ???

i am also planning on buying an AC in the upcoming week.After roaming around the LG 2014 1.5T aura plus 3 star model has come up at top !! 

My usage is limited hence i am not going wit a costlier brand or more stars.

Any suggestions on this model? the retailer is quoting 32k.

I have completed watching the first season of Utopia. It is really brave, radical TV series. Have anyone watched this series yet? If not, I suggest you should give it a try. It is one of the best TV series I've seen in recent times.

BSNL - EVDO - Usage - Review and everything about it

I know its a old school connection , about 4 years old but till now there isnt a better wireless plan compared to this till now

Rs 750 Pm True Unlimited . Prepaid

Pros:
1. True Unlimited no FUPs - i download around 100-150 Gbs a month, i can download upto 200-300 Gbs but i run out of files
2. Priced cheap compared to others , when they charge Rs 1000 with 10 Gb FUP
3. U dont have to talk to the customer care ever

Cons:
1. it has too many
2. Coverage is too thin , forget about slow speed there are places where u wont get any service at all
3. u just cannot walk to a BSNL office and buy this sim , because 70% of them doesnt know there is a service like this
4. CDMA
5. Availability of CDMA- EVDO modems in the market
6. Recharge Problems , those STVs mentioned on the site dont work most of the time ( lost Rs 1000 over online Recharge couple of times)

even after all the above i just love this connection , its prepaid and costs 750 pm , unlimited
have nice coverage in my town , so always get 1-2mbps , but dont ask about the ping or latency values

with this connection i have never thought about another connection for 3 years now .

Ok , so here it goes .

Im using Alliance since 2008 ... Since 2008-2010 i lived in Naktala area near Tollygunge and during that time i used the zoom plus package .

The service was really good back then. Anyway that is history now .  And like all good things comes to an end , the momment i shifted from my Naktala residence to my Usha Gate residence all good things did come to an end.

In usha gate area , the speed wasn't that good at first but it was ok . As the years rolled by things got worse .

This year (Feb 2014 - Mar 2014) the normal upload/download speed i got is the crappiest .

Too much of fluctuation in speed . Most of the time my downloads failed bcoz of heavy fluctuations .

According to zoom plus package i should be getting 48 kbps - 55 kbps download speed , but the speed dropped to 30kbps -17kbps after every few seconds and so the downloads failed ;(

Please note my friends , there was no ping loss .

Even my anti-virus updates failed due to heavy fluctuations.

I reported this issue to the customer care and they couldn't figure out the source of this problem .

They checked my Pc via remote support , came to my house with their lappy but nothing . No solution to this problem.

After this , i decided to upgrade to Premium package which offers -

1MB Bandwidth = 128kbps normal download speed.

6MB Bandwidth (1am - 9pm) = 753kbps normal download speed.

But instead of getting such promised speed , all im getting is 50kbps to 80kbps . not even close to 100kbps . And the same im getting in happy hours (1am - 9pm)

I complained more than a dozen times but no luck ;(

Any of you guys facing such fluctuation problems ?

Any good Photon plans that you can recommend. Does photon offers the promised speed.

Can i just get a SIM and check the speed at my home in either Galasy S3 or S4 or iphone 5S.

I can buy the modem too from BSNL but i wan to connect it to my wifi router. I looked around the forum and found some routers which will convert USB to ethernet and that will solve my problem.

I almost know where to get the SIM too. Is it a good, reliable connection? Thanks.

So I tried bridge mode and connected using windows dialer. Its connecting in windows.
