Trusted computer peripherals shop in hyderabad/vijayawada

Posted: 01 Jan 2014 11:44 AM PST

I want to upgrade my pc.So pls suggest a trusted shop either in Hyderabad/Vijayawada similar to delta in chennai. It will be good if there is online ordering of the items.Pls share contact no. & address if you have.

I liked delta peripherals very much while I was in chennai.Their prices are reasonable & they maintain online price list too. They only stock few brands which are the best in the category.I can see most of the peripherals are cheaper when compared to flipkart /snapdeal /ebay.I'm little skeptical about online ordering from them since I'm now in AP.Looking for same kind of service in AP.

Now here in my town, all the dealers take about Rs500 extra if we go and buy in their shop. They tell some stories about courier charges. We all know they will get all the hardware from vijayawada/hyderabad, but they will never reveal the distributors name as its their trade secret.I'm ok if they charge Rs100-200 extra but Rs500 is too much. These people will never change.

Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Posted: 01 Jan 2014 11:42 AM PST

The Joss Whedon drama based on the Marvel Comics property has landed a series order at the Disney-owned network, ABC announced Friday.

The ABC Studios project is based on Marvel Comics' secret intelligence organization that has appeared in countless titles, including Iron Man, Captain America and The Ultimates, since being introduced in the 1960s. The military law-enforcement agency's moniker stands for Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistic Directorate, which also has evolved over time in the comics.

ER's Ming-Na stars as Agent Melinda May, The Avengers' Clark Gregg reprises his role as Agent Phil Coulson, Killing Lincoln's Brett Dalton is set as gruff rising star Agent Grant Ward, Elizabeth Henstridge as science whiz Agent Gemma Simmons and Iain DeCaestecker as tech guru Agent Leo Fitz, with Nashville's Chloe Bennet set as Skye, a superhero-obsessed woman.

CDMA Data Cards and Networks

Posted: 01 Jan 2014 10:59 AM PST

Alright, so I've been using an unlocked MTS CDMA dongle(Huawei EC122) and a Reliance CDMA RUIM for quite some time now for data on the move. 90 bucks for 1.5GB, pretty decent; and much cheaper than netconnect+ for the same speed.

Now with TATA having launched their Photon Max network, I was wondering if one could get a tata CDMA RUIM, put it into either zte ac2792 or huawei EC 306, and get the same "Photon Max" speeds at 94 for 1GB(current EVDO revA/3.1mbit pricing).

Any clues?

D-Link DWR-113 as a DSL + 3G router?

Posted: 01 Jan 2014 10:34 AM PST

Would the D-Link DWR-113 3G Wi-Fi Router be a good option to use with YouBroadband?

I'm looking at this router as an option so that I can have continuous connectivity with a 3G Reliance Netconnect+ dongle as a backup. Would anyone of you recommend this setup?

Thank you!

Chromebook sales outperform MacBooks as iPad loses ground

Posted: 01 Jan 2014 09:04 AM PST

According to a recent NPD report, Apple hardware took a hit in commercial sales during 2013 while Google's platforms rallied; the largest gainer being Chromebook, which outsold MacBooks five to one.

From 0.1% in 2012, Chromebooks took 21% of all notebook sales — 8% of all computer sales — during the period from January to November 2013.

"New products like Chromebooks, and reimagined items like Windows tablets, are now supplementing the revitalization that iPads started in personal computing devices." said NPD's vice president of industry analysis Stephen Baker.

Aver Media Tv Tuner Card AVerTV Super 009 M733 - Composite Video Inout - Recording Prohibited Solved

Posted: 01 Jan 2014 08:59 AM PST

hai, this is my story.
while surfing net i found some people telling unable to record Airtel DTH programs through
Composite Video input to tuner card.
Can Composite Video be protected ???
Answer is YES - Macrovision.

In good old days VHS tapes were protected from copying. Now it is Composite Video that is protected.
I was using Intex tuner card with Composite Video Input from STB ,but i was able to record all programs using ChrisTV.
May be Intex is taking account protection flag.

Then what are these people telling about recording prohibited ???

To find out I bought a new Tv Tuner Card AVerTV Super 009 M733 Aver Media.

Installed it and to my surprise ChrisTV only shows Channel 100 [ Demo Ch] of Airtel STB through Composite Input.
and only demo channel can be recorded.

All other channels are blanked out ....?? First thought --- Man I lost money :(

So I installed AverTV that came with Tuner card and It shows all channels :)
Money not wasted :)
... wait tried recording ... Is tells recording prohibited ???? :(

Even Tvideograbber SDK does not show channels only demo channel...

So some reverse engineering required >>>>
Took my tool IDA Pro [got retail version v6.1 realy good]
and analysed driver files of tuner card.

To my surprise I found default setting of AverMedia TV Tuner Card is to prohibit recording of
Macrovison protected Video and to blank out video if we are not using AverTV to view.

Finally I managed to change the default setting and
now using ChrisTV and Tvideograbber to view and record videos.

Aver Media Tv Tuner Card AVerTV Super 009 M733 is really a
good card with no bulky tuners and also it has composite Input.

Anyone facing the problem can contact me for solution. :)

Speed doesn't kick back to normal after it's 1st day of a new month

Posted: 01 Jan 2014 08:40 AM PST

I had to start a new thread because I'm having this trouble EVERY SINGLE TIME I bust the FUP, the speed just doesn't revert to normal on the 1st day of a new month (it takes a few days). The customer care haven't a clue what's happening, sometimes they say they are aware but then then they also say it's going to be taken care of in couple hours.

I tried logging in and out multiple times at different times but it just doesn't work eh?

Firstly, frustration hits bottom right after that limit and your speed plummets down to a snail's, so there's no youtube, no porn and facebook takes a bunch of minutes to show a notification, it makes you feel like you went back in time to use a dial up. Secondly, when you're painfully waiting for that first day of the new month, and when the speed stays the same, you really want to beat someone up.

Is it just me or what? Cause I haven't read a thread stating a problem like this.

It's 1st today and my speed is still messing about < 512kbps.

ACT, you need to deal with it soon, I do not think it's NOT beyond your control.

Personally, I think ACT should look into an idea like Airtel's Smartbytes. It's really cool. You pay to buy data and speed between the time that you hit the FUP and the end of the billing-cycle, it helps all the time.
