Reliance Mobile 3G Tariffs dropped significantly Posted: 30 Nov 2013 11:41 AM PST |
DLC (Exchange) doesn't support 2mbps connection. Posted: 30 Nov 2013 11:14 AM PST I have been opted for reliance broadband 2mbps plan from 8-9 months. On recently checking i found that the speed i am getting is of 1mbps connection. On various complaint and issues. Technician visited my place and told me that their exchange doesnot support 2mbps connection. So switch to 1mbps.
I am amazed that if reliance cant provide connection above 1mbps speed, then why they offer plans of 2mbps,4 and 12 mbps when they dont have resources. this is a mere fraud. Please help and suggest me how to get it rectified. As earlier i was getting download speed according to 2mbps connection. But what happened now. Plz help. |
Volume levels on Tata Sky channels, both SD and HD Posted: 30 Nov 2013 11:06 AM PST Hi,
I have been facing this problem of very low volume levels for some time now. My set top box volume level is at 100% and my Sony LED TV needs to be set to 30-35 lines to be able to hear the audio properly. But still the quality is not good. Sound is muffled. Some of the dialogs are not properly audible. My HD+ STB is connected to my TV via HDMI cable.
Few observations: 1. Any non-HDMI devices such as DVD player, internet etc. works on my TV within volume range of 10-15. 2. Any HDMI device such as my camcorder, etc. works within same volume range of 10-15. It is just the Tata Sky HD+ STB which refuses to give good quality sound. I even tried using component output but same issue.
Suspecting that either the STB is not working fine or perhaps the signal itself doesn't have strong audio component, I have been chasing the Tata Sky support on this for last couple of days. But those guys keep giving nonsensical answers and close the complaint. Yesterday the technician told me that the HDMI ports on my Sony TV had a problem and I should contact Sony service center for the same. When I challenged him with the demo in point 2 above, he finally said he would check with technical support and get back to me. But to my surprise he went back and closed the complaint!
I checked with many other folks who are reporting the same thing i.e. the TV volume control is set almost half way through (50%) and STB sound level is set to 100% then only one can get something to hear, but still the quality is not good (suppressed, muffled, lower frequencies cut off).
Is this something that is affecting everyone? I wonder why Tata Sky is not responding to the complaints...
Hope to hear from you guys.
TIA, WinCPP |

Remember to reset your connection before midnight on last day of the month! Posted: 30 Nov 2013 10:18 AM PST Since today was the last day of the billing cycle, I have my downloads on since early morning. I do not want this usage to end up getting counted in next month's cycle because the session continued past midnight. Should I reset my modem before midnight tonight? I lost around 4GB data on Airtel Broadband last year which they refused to add back to my account which basically got me to dump them permanently. |

Anyone here using YOU Broadband in Pune ? Posted: 30 Nov 2013 08:09 AM PST I am now in need of a broadband provider at my home in Pune. I was checking if 3G would be VFM but supposedly it is not for me. Checked with airtel and my place is not "feasible" as per them. I don't have an option of BSNL so that is out too. The only option supposedly is available is YOU telecom. Is there anyone here using YOU Broadband in Pune or somewhere else ? I was planning to get their Either the YOU hurricane or the YOU Trident plan, lowest in them respectively. How consistent is the connection and speed ? Downtimes ? I read few threads here and people seem to be having issues with speed mainly/ I am ok if i don't get full 12 Mbps or 10 Mbps but consistent connection and low / no downtime is more important. Please suggest if it is worth going for YOU broadband ? |

Configure Adsl Utstarcom Wa3002G4 as a switch Posted: 30 Nov 2013 06:01 AM PST Hey Guys!! I have changed my Broadband connection to ACT from BSNL. I was planning to configure ADSL router (UTSTARCOM Wa3002G4) as a switch. ACT broadband provides dynamic IP , a RJ45 cable which is connected to the laptop directly. When we start browsing we get redirected to ACT login page and need to login inorder to browse. I was planning to connect the RJ45 to one of the LAN port (wa3002g4 has 4 LAN) and use it as a switch( use the wifi ). But i'm unable to connect, im having limited access. I read lot of threads here, people had the same issue and they could resolve, i followed all the steps taken like disable the DHCP all that. Can anyone help me out in this.. Is there anything to do with NAT? |

How do I configure my newly bought D-Link DSL-2730u Wireless N 150 ADSL2+ 4-Port Router(cum modem)? Posted: 30 Nov 2013 04:07 AM PST Recently, I bought a D-Link DSL-2730u Wireless N 150 ADSL2+ 4-Port Router(i.e also modem) to connect to my Airtel broadband. I've given up after repeated failures to connect to the Internet. When I ran the diagnostics through 192.168.1.1 of the modem, the process is failing in the step when its connecting to the ISP. I've validated the ISP's username and password but still It gets failed there. Though, I am getting a valid DSL signal, but after that its throwing the error 651. I'm using Windows 7. And searched the net for all possible solutions for this error. Tried each one of it, nothing's working. Am I configuring the Modem right? Please assist as to what settings I must put. Thanks in advance. |
