Chumbak is now selling fascinating cases for Samsung Galaxy devices Posted: 24 Oct 2013 12:43 PM PDT |
Posted: 24 Oct 2013 12:24 PM PDT Hi everyone! I'm planning to get a new connection as soon as I can, and BSNL EVDO is in the list of favourites but I have four doubts: 1. Does the BSNL EVDO work on Windows 8.1 64 bit and OSX Mountain Lion? I have used the CDMA 1X connection before and I'm sure it cannot be used in either of the OS. So, I was a bit worried. 2. How is the signal in North Kolkata, specifically speaking, Greenpark area in Lake Town, Kolkata? 3. In the BSNL EVDO page http://www.bsnl.co.in/opencms/bsnl/BSNL/services/mobile/evdo_prepaid.html they say prepaid for unlimited is 750 and postpaid for unlimited is 830. Is that true? |
Require new internet connection in JP Nagar 8th Phase Bangalore Posted: 24 Oct 2013 12:12 PM PDT Hello,
I have just moved to JP Nagar 8th phase in bangalore and I am looking for a new internet connection. I have already contact ACT and Airtel and they do not provide connections at my address.
My address is
SK Nataraj Layout, 1st Cross, Kothanur Dinne Main road, JP Nagar 8th Phase, Bangalore - 560078
I am not including the house # for obvious reasons.
I would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations as to which other ISP i can contact for a connection in the above mentioned area.

Posted: 24 Oct 2013 11:48 AM PDT Suits (TV series) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ![]() Finished first season. It reminds me of two shows... First Collar on how it is presented. Mad Men because the character of Harvey Specter is so freaking similar to Don Draper. The problem is that Specter is like 5% of what Draper is. It just does not feel solid enough. When Draper talks, you listen. When Specter talks, you hope that he would say something that would impress you. Sadly, it does not happen very often. |

Bsnl 750 Uld Plan Speed Changes? Posted: 24 Oct 2013 11:17 AM PDT I am using BSNL broadband, I've used above 8 GB and according to the plan I should be getting 512 Kbps or 0r 0.50 Mbps. But when I am testing my speed I am getting 1.27 Mbps or 1300.48 Kbps.

Posted: 24 Oct 2013 11:06 AM PDT I was looking to buy a tablet and saw a Nexus 7 with Wi-Fi and 3G 2013 version at a great price and sorta impulse bought the item. Bad decision. The item was not shipped for 5 days, the scamsters website was blocked by my antivirus and the guy insisted the tab had a sim slot when infact the Cellular version is yet to be launched.
No real damages done financially as the refund has been initiated by the system, apart from losing a week and a half, I guess.
MORAL : Stay away from new sellers, I know some or what the heck most may be legit, but its not worth it. And if something is too good to be true, it probably is. |
Please suggest a new connection in Kolkata Posted: 24 Oct 2013 10:55 AM PDT Hello everyone!
I'm looking for a new internet connection.
Area: Kolkata (Specifically speaking, Greenpark area in Lake Town, Kolkata)
Requirement: 1. Unlimited plan 2. 24x7 internet connectivity 3. decent speed for browsing and downloading especially during daytime 4. reliable connection 5. No need for night unlimited or peering. I need this connection more during the daytime.
Budget: WIthin 750 (the lesser, the better)
I did some searching and here are the plans I have narrowed down to. 1. BSNL EVDO 2. BSNL Broadband Home Unlimited 525 3. Reliance Thunder 549 4. Reliance Thunder 699 5. BSNL Broadband Combo Unlimited 800 6. Alliance PRIME Plan Have anyone used these connections? What is your say in these? If you had been me, which plan would you have gone for?
Here are the advantages and disadvantages of the plans:
1. BSNL EVDO Advantage: portable, 100% unlimited DIsadvantage: Terrible customer support, Not sure about: inconsistent signal (not sure how good the signal strength is in our area) 2. BSNL Broadband Home Unlimited 525 Advantage: unlimited literally, BSNL at least guarantees no extra bill DIsadvantage: Terrible customer support, fall in speed to 256 kbps after Not sure: Am I bound to take the landline connection? I don't want the landline. Also BSNL Broadband Home Combo Unlimited 650, looks to be the same without the extra landline cost. Once again, I do not need the landline connection. 3. Reliance Thunder 549: Advantage: Constant 1mbps connection Disadvantage: The weird contention ratio thing, bad reviews, need to buy a different modem. Not sure: The service of Reliance broadband in Kolkata, have any of you used it here? Are they really unlimited? Have anyone been billed extra? 4. Reliance Thunder 699: Advantage: Constant 2mbps connection Disadvantage: The weird contention ratio thing, bad reviews Not sure: The service of Reliance broadband in Kolkata, have any of you used it here? Are they really unlimited? Have anyone been billed extra? 5. BSNL Broadband Combo Unlimited 800: Advantage: BSNL at least guarantees no extra bill DIsadvantage: Terrible customer support, Relatively expensive Not sure: Am I bound to take the landline connection? I don't want the landline. 6. Alliance PRIME Plan: Advantage: Constant 500 kbps speed (or so they promise) Not sure: I am not sure about anyone else having the problems with Alliance.

Posted: 24 Oct 2013 09:18 AM PDT Im currently using vodafone 2g (mumbai circle) (prepaid) and i am thinking to convert into 3g. But i have some questions: 1. Do I need to change the sim? I am a bit doubful as my sim is 4 years old. 2. Right now I am using Rs.199 2GB internet pack (2G network). Will it get deactivated automatically when 3g will get activated? 3. The general cricket discussion thread Posted: 24 Oct 2013 07:18 AM PDT Why this thread? So often, we have some random thought or point to make/discuss , and I personally sometimes skip it as I feel it is not worthy of a new thread & feel its unfair to hijack an existing thread... Would recommend creating new thread for any big news & as usual we have threads for specific series/tournaments.. This is for something general random posts related to cricket...Kind of the Cricket Offtopic thread... Will start with one post ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Misbah & Taibu seem to competing with each other for the prize of who can bat more defensively.... ---------- After beating NZ in the 3rd ODI with a draing chase... Now Zimbabwe are on verge on possibly upsetting them in the Only Test... 116 needed in 34 Overs (Incl mandatory Overs) with the new ball just taken |
Can the beetel 450tc1 be used in modem only mode? Posted: 24 Oct 2013 06:25 AM PDT My belkin router was working in the modem only mode until recently for my asus router. Now suddenly its stopped working and has some major dsl error. It will be going to belkin support as still in warranty but till then I have to use my original 450tc1 which came from Airtel. So need to know if anyone here is using it and ideas on the settings to achieve this. |
