Static IP improves service drastically Posted: 23 Aug 2013 12:19 PM PDT From past few days my service was just pathetic. i am having a 2mbps unlimited plan on which download speed was 2mbps but the upload speed was around 400kbps. There were issues of packet drop and high pings. So a guy from tikona suggested me that i should take the static IP service and there will be huge change in your service. And guess what he was correct.
Benifits 1. No login page ever. 2. Connect as many PC with your Wifi router. 3. download speed of 3.5 mbps 4. upload speed of 2mbps 5. super low pings. 6. no packet drop.
Drawbacks 1. you will have to shell out Rs1500 a year. |

I am starting with two of my most favorite series. 1. Planet Earth. 2. BBC Life. Others please come forward with your suggestions. ---------- Post added at 11:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:55 PM ---------- Please omit sitcoms like Lost,Heroes,24,prison Break, etc etc from this list. Let's reserve this thread only for the documentaries. |

Now… This show is definitely not for everyone and as I have already read that a couple of you have tried it and given up on it. I am currently on season 6 and I have enjoyed it so far. It's from the late 90s so it's not really what you would call cutting edge. But I love it for its humor. I have always been a big fan of MacGyver. All characters have their own charms. The chemistry between them is amazing. Especially when you talk about alient characters like Thor. If you need something for the long haul. Something that you want to enjoy between your regular shows… you might want to consider it. It's huge. There are spin-offs. I have not really explored what happens after SG-1. I started with the movie Stargate and then picked up this series. There are 10 seasons. Around 22 episodes each. Could last you several months. Would be totally worth it. I have seen 6 seasons in 2-3 weeks and basically I am going through the same joyride I went through when I saw the entire Doctor Who franchise (from the latest installment starting with Christopher Eccleston as the ninth doctor). Along with the nightmares of course. Instead of daleks, I just see Goa'ulds. lol |

Posted: 23 Aug 2013 11:17 AM PDT KBC makers on the hot seat, fined Rs 1 cr New Delhi: Arguably the most successful game show in Indian television Kaun Banega Crorepati was on Thursday adjudged unfair in certain aspects by the National Consumer Commission which imposed a fine of Rs 1 crore on broadcaster Star TV and the sponsor Airtel. "Star Plus TV and Bharti Airtel Limited are held to have violated the provisions of Consumer Protection Act in conducting the 'Har Seat Hot Seat' (HSHS) contest which was in conjunction with the main television show Kaun Banega Crorepati and thereby adopted unfair trade practice," the Commission presided by Justice M B Shah said. The Commission, also comprising members Rajyalakshmi Rao and Anupam Dasgupta, held that in 52 episodes of KBC-3 the telecom company and the channel made a profit of Rs 8.12 crore out of the SMSes sent by viewers to participate in the contest. "Considering the large amount of profit earned and large number of consumers affected, this would be a fit case for imposing punitive damage of Rs 1 crore," it said. Popular TV game show KBC, hosted by Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan between January 22 to April 19, 2007, was sponsored by Airtel. |
