Will my modem support a 16Mbps download speed? Posted: 28 Jul 2013 12:36 PM PDT Hi newbie here, Please help me figure out if my modem would support a 16Mbps airtel connection? Will I get the full speed as promised?
This is what I could get for my firmware adsl info -
Will it support the speed? Do I have to buy a new one? if I have to, what would be the best one to buy?
Also, Lot of sites are being blocked by Airtel right now, how do you guys get around it?

how to configure huawei router for reliance BB Posted: 28 Jul 2013 12:32 PM PDT I recently got a reliance thunder plan they gave me a modem but i used my old bsnl BB's router 'huawei quidway wa1003a' as i was able to use wifi on that but yesterday i was unable to connect to the internet, when i changed back to original modem reliance gave me, everything worked fine. Please help me to so i can use the huawei router on reliance BB. |

So far the most horrible customer experience and harassment. I have paid the amount and its been close to 3 weeks nothing has happened from their end.
PLEASE DONT BUY ACT GUYS... THESE GUYS ARE CHEATING!
I had read bad reviews but still they convinced me its only in some parts and now things are getting better ..
I paid to one guy named Vinod who promised me connection in 7 days .. its been more than 3 weeks now.
There is another guy roaming around in our locality. I asked where the other guy is and there is no response.
Jayanagar 2nd block they said is a new addition but have been cheated.

Prepaid Pros: 1. True Unlimited no FUPs - i download around 100-150 Gbs a month, i can download upto 200-300 Gbs but i run out of files 2. Priced cheap compared to others , when they charge Rs 1000 with 10 Gb FUP 3. U dont have to talk to the customer care ever Cons: 1. it has too many 2. Coverage is too thin , forget about slow speed there are places where u wont get any service at all 3. u just cannot walk to a BSNL office and buy this sim , because 70% of them doesnt know there is a service like this 4. CDMA 5. Availability of CDMA- EVDO modems in the market 6. Recharge Problems , those STVs mentioned on the site dont work most of the time ( lost Rs 1000 over online Recharge couple of times) even after all the above i just love this connection , its prepaid and costs 750 pm , unlimited have nice coverage in my town , so always get 1-2mbps , but dont ask about the ping or latency values with this connection i have never thought about another connection for 3 years now . have some doubts ? want details ? ask it here happy to help Max speed , remind u that my device supports upto 3.1mbps only to check balance - 18004259123 |

Tikona WiBro Services - Dont Ever go for it Posted: 28 Jul 2013 06:50 AM PDT This is a complaint about Tikona Wireless Broadband and see how much frustration a customer would have in selecting this useless service, 1)Jul-2012 i took the Tikona Wireless Brodaband connection for 1mbps speed. they some how convinced me saying it will never happen again.Then i paid my third due from Jan - Mar 2012. same story. i did not disconnect because i thought i will be changing my house so it will be better if i raise a disconnection thinking that they will disconnect immediately since it is wireless. In April 2013, there was no stable connection, called the Customer Care and made a complaint. As usual the so called Engineer did not turn up and i got frustrated i raised a request for disconnection. After the request is raised the Engineer called me for fixing the issue. I told i disconnected and not needed your service. The next day a guy from Mumbai called me and he spoke in my language(for convincing) and convinced me and promised me it will never happen. I did not have a connection for 10 days again.I was not able to disconnect also because i paid the amount for Apr - Jun 2013
mail sent on Apr 6, 2013 for disconnection, I had disconnected my Tikona WI-BRO service on 05-Apr-2013 and i had raised a complaint to the customer care for the same. thanks, Boooooooooooooooooh. disconnected. it did not even know whether the payment is made. I had been calling your ISP co-ordinator many times for collecting the equipments but nobody turned up. I had sent a mail asking you guys to collect the equipments on the below dates, But you are not responsible enough to collect the same. thanks, On seeing this you can see that they are sending the same mails repeatedly for a month for no reasons making the Customer uncomfortable. a)They are forcing me to call a guy or a fool whom they outsourced for collecting the equipments. Why should a customer call a guy who will not turn up, even then i did. This is the worst thing making the customer to call a unknown fool to take the equipments.
As per their mail, The activities are summarized against your Service Request Number 1-2712199844, dated : 6/23/2013 09:42:29 AM 1) Resolution of issues or problem with your cooperation : Day 1 to Day 10 2) Formal email or call from your Registered Email or Mobile No. : Day 1 to Day 10 3) Suspension of account (last bill cycle) : Day 11 to Day 13 4) Payment of outstanding and return of equipments : Day 14 to Day 16 5) Closure of account : Once activity 4 is completed then within 48hrs account will be closed. from 23/06/2013 + 16 days = 10-jul-2013 the equipments shouls have been collected, they will not collect the equipments and will send mails irritating the customer. These guys are giving the worst service that any telecom company will give and if we disconnect they will call all nuisance. Apart from these i made so many calls to the Customer Care to the toll-free which is not easily reachable and many times to their chargeable number in Mumbai |

This wi-fi router isn't that good so wanted to know if setting up QoS ( Quality of Service ) on this router is worth? The firmware is Trendchip firmware and isn't really that good. So if anyone has setup a QoS on this router, do let me know how is it and how did you do it? You did it for a particular port or for a range of connections? Thank you. |

I use the BSNL 500 Night Unlimited plan.I heard that for the Meghbela Broadband maintained by Airtel provides better speeds(384 kbps to 2Mbps) than my plan and is priced at 300 for the unlimited usage.I heard form some sources in the internet that its service is poor and if any problem happens,it will be a hellish time for the user. Please give me a good review of this servie provider and would it be worth taking it.I need good service. |
