Fast forward to today, and it looks as if the Txtr Beagle will undoubtedly be hitting shelves in the US, but just not at the price we had hoped -- the e-reader itself is set to be carrying a $70 tag, making it a lot more costly than the $13 device that was originally planned.

Modem for BSNL Broadband

Posted: 11 Mar 2013 06:11 PM PDT

So, I am sick and tired of the piece of shite modem that BSNL gave me. Manu suggested I should get something of my own.

I have a Buffalo Wireless Router so just a modem would suffice. Though I would not mind getting a combo device provided it has similar or better wireless coverage.

The Buffalo router works fine except for one room that is at the opposite far side of the house one floor above. So, it would be nice if that coverage problem can be solved as well?

That sad... My router is Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH. I am not sure if it can be made to work as a modem? Just saying.

Tikona Broadband User Experiences

Posted: 11 Mar 2013 05:37 PM PDT

Thought I would start another thread for people who have actually used this service to describe their experience.

They have started advertising quite heavily in Bombay and their plans seem pretty decent. Their 600kbps UL plan would be excellent for me.

I really like the way they have bill limits for their limited plans as well. That shows they understand consumer concerns about enormous bills and have designed their plans to allay them.

So how good is their service? Any down time? How quickly do they respond to complaints? Really any information from people who have used Tikona would be appreciated.
