By now you might be well aware of the fact that Vodafone Execs have very little knowledge/expertise about their network/services/trouble shooting. Have you tried forwarding your last email to their Nodal Officer? It usually gets issues resolved faster and they usually call you with a resolution. That approach has worked for me in the past when I did not get a resolution thru their regular channels.

Actualy the problem is prepaid connection.
I have iPhone 4 and 3g is officially unavailable on prepaid.
And Lurgan, rs 100 charge is for edge service.
Also, the most helpful vodafone place in delhi/ncr is in sector - 18 in noida.

Airtel Broadband: One year of inability to solve an issue

Posted: 16 Jan 2012 11:45 AM PST

Technical feasibility is a big issue with Airtel. The DSLAM has to be within a certain distance from your home for them to be able to give you the 4mbps plan and they dont make attempts to penetrate areas slightly far away from the main road. I have been trying for 4mpbs for nearly an year now and yet no progress.

That apart, the service has been really good and thats why Im hesitant to change ISPs. For last one year my net has gone down for only one day and they fixed it within 6 hours

Yeah i knew it coming.. ofcourse MDA has 4G license and only data phones will not make sense.. hence 20Crs (plus maybe some underhand money) and wow.. pan india 4G spectrum + unified license to give complete service...
remember the old days of RIM when reliance and TATA gave multi hundred of crores penalty for offering Roaming on Wireless in Local loop before CDMA was given a unified license.....????

Luckily Google/Facebook have the resources to take this important case right to the very top - the SC. Ordinary people like us can't afford to. It's a shame that foreign origin companies are fighting on the behalf of the Indian public against the Indian government and courts.

I thought our government and courts were supposed to PROTECT our rights. Instead, they're the ones taking them away and a stranger is fighting them for us.

Totally...f***ed...up.

Please ensure that you double check by asking them "is this connection 1 megabit or 1 megabyte per second?" Hopefully they can clarify! As far as the last mile is concerned, the connection wouldn't be routed via MTNL servers, it would just hook in to MTNL's copper network shortly before reaching your office in one of those blue cabinets scattered about the city. Also, you've not mentioned to whom you have applied for this connection from at rs80k/year - is that Reliance or Airtel or MTNL?I have passed your # along to my CTO, he will likely call upon his return on Wednesday, and at the same time he can pass you the number of someone at Tulip.

Thanks for your clarification.

I'll definitely cross check this with their team.

By the way, the proposal of Rs. 80,000 P.A. was given by Airtel.
