Yeah round up is quite common for billing system .. They r going to round up once per session .. Not going to cost u anyways ..
Even if you had 10 sessions of internet in a day .. it can cost u max of 90kbs I guess.. 10x9

Maybe those users only have slow plans, and people on certain types of plan are assigned certain IPs or something like that... maybe this range is for the high-speed users and the other ranges you see are for the not high-speed users.

i have umg 1831 modem with bsnl 3g (4200 plan) and modem fw is 11.831.05.01.420 (after upgradation)
i have problem with connection when i dail it get connected but download speed is 0 kb and it show upload speed varying

some times if i am lucky i get download speed please tell me whats the problem is

its due to bsnl sim or modem heating or firmware

my friend's loop port out request has being rejected,reason being no postive balance...he had 0.65ps,isnt this positive?

752 KBPS 1 MBPS and 2 MBPS are good I say 1 MBPS is Fine

I had 1 MBPS and use to play Age of empires , project blackout (similar to CS) , battleforge.

But due to Some problem after some months my speed was getting to low and constantly fluctuating thats why I complained and MTNL changed my nodes and forget to lower the speed now I have 2 MBPS in price of 1MBPS :P

well 2 MBPS is awsome But 1 MBPS is rather good for games too

and I must say lower graphic and dated games like age of empire can easily work on 512KBPS ,752 KBPS

I download the N8 PR 1.1 using navifirm. I select the Nokia care suite. The download size of the file is 1.6 GB.

One of the file named like "simlock_3gstandard_bb5.bin". I would like to know the purpose of the file. I am having N8 unlocked version (India). Is it OK to flash the firmware using phoenix?

Kindly advise me. I suspect my phone will get locked if i flash with this file.

I have the same router. When you connect the LAN port on 220BX router to the WAN port of Asus router, it doesn't work. I did a lot of R&D on the Asus router but failed to get it working.

There are 4 LAN ports on your Asus wireless router besides a port that is marked as WAN. Wireless connection will work only if you connect LAN port on 220bx to any of these 4 LAN ports of Asus router. Don't use the WAN port on Asus router.

I guess Asus routers are cheap for a good reason only.

@DeathEscaped Who have you dealt with in Delhi for your problems, if its linesman & Co then it might not help much send an email to the GM/DGM stating clearly the problem with the statistics plus all the complaint no.'s if any. If that does not help next is to the ED MTNL(Delhi) after that to the MD.

and ofcource your both PCs should have NIC card. From any of the PC you should be able to authenticate at portal.beamtele which is required to make the connection and then you should be able to browse from both.

This is most east and cheapest solution to share the internet in wired medium.

AND dont worry about the binding of MAC because I just tested that they dont monitor your MAC. As I use beam connection from my phone, laptop and desktop. So I will force my wifi router to use different mac id to connect and every time i am able to connect without any problem.

Nilesh was right but its seem the guy who came to your place was an idiot. Tikona allows you to use 5 systems at a time. All those five MAC address will be registered with tikona and they will be able to connected after authentication. Now if you sixth device to use then you will have to login tikona care portal and there delete any of the existing MAC... OK guys this is all technical bluff. :cool2:

now real question, who the hell is able to use five system with tikona when only one system is not working fully. :hysterical: They are really shitty company and I dont understand how they got license and how they are still operating with so many frustrated customer.

Also, they have got license broadband wireless spectrum so they gonna spread more pain across new innocent customers.

the camera is not decent.. it is just awesome as compared to the 5mp on my galaxy s.. or the 5mp on the n97...
.. the backlit image sensor captures good quality even in low light with colors popping out... technically n8 has a better camera but iphone 4 results are more pleasing to the eyes..

plus there are plenty of good quality photography related apps...

i have an ipad and a galaxy s and also have used an iphone 4.... app experience on android is bad.. as in not availability of apps.. but usage experience.. i find the galaxy s wether it was 2.1 or 2.2 to be a lot slower as compared to ios devices running the same apps...

Airtel guys in our city provide Best service. Airtel guys take hours to address the problem whereas BSNL guys take almost a week to address.

Note: Plans are still the worst. Fair Usage Policy sucks

I would use GPRS rather than wasting time, money & energy with them.

Tikona has been a b***h for 95% users all the time.. A real pain in the arse i must say.

The company is being run by a bunch of thugs.

I’m based in South Delhi & I registered my query with JustDial for ISPs who can cater to my area.

Quite a few number of calls came with variety of plans. Among them there was a call from one Ms. Shalini from Tikona. She told me about a plan offered by Tikona in which, on a monthly Rental of Rs. 250+taxes, I’ll get 256kbps. Additional benefit was that upto a traffic of 200MB the bandwidth shall be 2Mbps. She added that there is an installation charge of Rs. 1,000/-, which shall get halved, if I agree to pay two months’ rental+taxes in advance. On enquiring about the first bill amount, she clarified that it would be Rs. 500/- for installation and two months rental+taxes would be Rs. 560/-, hence the first bill would be of Rs. 1,060/-. I opted for it on the promise that the connection shall be made active the next day of making the payment.

Next day, their guy came (an un-adultrated dumbo!), filled up the form & took the cash.

SO FAR SO GOOD!!

Now my ordeal started. After numerous phone calls to their office & to Shalini, the connection was activated at the end of the 4th day. It was a wired connection (& after about 4 months & n-number of complaints, the wire is still scattered in my home without being properly cabled). I was yet to understand that this false promise was only the tip of the iceberg.

The connection was activated on 18th Oct. 10 & the first thing I did was to check the website of Tikona about their charges and found that the installation charge was Rs. 500/- only. On raising the matter with Shalini, she blatantly declared that the site contains outdated info.

For the first one & half months, there were frequent downtimes, I beared with it.

Then from Dec. end calls started coming for payment. On being told that I have paid two months advance rental @ Rs. 280/- incl. taxes, to my utter shock, I was told that there was never such plan and the plan sold to me was a Rs. 499/- p.m. plan.

On contacting Shalini, she refused to talk & shamelessly disconnected my call.

Now, it’s been close to two month I’m fighting for justice & they, at first kept on calling me for making payment while increasing my outstanding billing and now have resorted to blackmailing by disconnecting my internet connection.

And for my numerous complaints, neither any one of them has been resolved nor there is any call back.

And the best-part..
THEY NEVER PROVIDE ANY COMPLAINT REFERENCE NNUMBER
