Mazda has dropped the official details on the company’s Minagi Concept. The sleek CUV is intended to give us all a little taste of exactly where Mazda’s design is headed in the near future as well as show off the company’s new Skyactiv drivetrain technologies. Mazda isn’t telling us exactly what’s under that sculpted hood other than to say that the Minagi gets its power from a Skyactiv engine and puts it to the ground via a Skyactiv transmission. In addition to those fuel-saving components, Mazda claims that the Minagi also uses a host of weight-saving tricks to boost fuel economy.

The concept wears the new Mazda design theme called Kodo, or soul of motion. From what we can see from the renderings, the look is a full galaxy ahead of the all smiles design the Japanese automaker is currently employing. We’ll be interested to see how the lines translate to the real world when the concept shows up at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in March. Hit the jump for the full press release.

Imagine a home that seems to levitate over water. This is a Nurai Island Water Villa, with stirring, panoramic views through the endless glass walls of every residence are simply breathtaking.

The island resort of Nurai is a private community of limited edition beachfront real estate and water villas. Nurai is a natural island located northeast of Abu Dhabi and one kilometer from the shores of Saadiyat that will host the city's cultural district (Louvres and Guggenheim Museum among other world class attractions). Part of the development is also a boutique luxury hotel with 60 suites. Designed by Dror Benshetrit, a NY-based industrial designer, the over the water residences are approximately 5,500 square feet, considerably smaller than the ocean front villas, but so gorgeous we think they are the must have item on the island. Besides, we don't think you can actually own a residence over top of the water anywhere else in the world. To reach your private villa, you walk out over white sand and torquoise water.

There are 3 types of villas available: Shoreline Villas, Seaside Villas, and Water Villas.

Shoreline Villas
Shoreline Villas are huge 6 bed / 7 bath villas set on 35,000 – 65,000 SQ. FT (or 3,252 – 6,039 SQ. M) land plots with the built-up area of each villa spanning 17,707 SQ. FT (or 1,645 SQ. M). With the shoreline villas' located slightly aback the beach, each villa affords a luxurious private tropical garden with a distinctive green carpet roof that blend each villa with the island's lush greenery. Every shoreline villas also has – a private beach with unobstructed sea views, an infinity pool, a cinema/multimedia room, an outdoor barbeque area as well as a gym, sauna, and steam room. Seaside Villas
The limited-edition Seaside Beachfront Villas are sizeable 5 bed / 6 bath villas set on land plots of between 35,000 – 65,000 SQ. FT (or 3,252 – 6,039 SQ. M) with the built-up area of each villa spanning 18,730 SQ. FT (or 1,745 SQ. M). Externally, they feature a unique green carpet roof that blends with the island's lush greenery. Internally, they feel spacious with abundant natural lights from their floor to ceiling windows that gives residents a sense of openness.

Seaside Villas are only separated from the beach by an infinity pool and terrace. Each seaside residence includes a private beach with unobstructed sea views, a private infinity pool, a cinema/multimedia room, an outdoor barbeque area as well as a gym, sauna, and steam room.

Water Villas
The limited-edition Water Villas are truly at the cutting edge of contemporary living. They are 28 – 4 bed / 4 bath Water Villas with an internal build area of 10,011 SQ. FT set on 21,000 – 51,000 SQ. FT land plots each. Each Water Villa has a unique 360 degree terrace, floor to ceiling windows and a roof top lounge/garden with infinity pool, multiple decks and a barbeque area suitable for 'al fresco' dining or simply lazing in the sun whilst enjoying the panoramic views of the Ocean and Abu Dhabi sky line.
