Troubleshooting in T mobile in connecting 3g in laptop using HUAWEI UMG 1831

Posted: 14 Jan 2011 12:22 PM PST

Where can I get older versions of Mobile Partner or T-Mobile? I'm on Win 7 now and am using the T-Mobile s/w. to connect. I think my wired BSNL broadband has been disconnected as applied for and isn't working. So now, more than ever its imperative I get the 3G working in XP. I have a last option to take a backup of all my data from the XP drive, format and then re-install the XP on it but that's what a dodo would do, and I hope intelligent people here can prevent me from doing that......

Now they also charge 50 Rs. extra for DC++ (which they earlier used to deny existance )

SSV has the right to charge certain fees, that is, the 3k - how do you expect them to pay for their infrastructure?

Secondly, 24Online is a client/server system that any ISP can use - it monitors the flow of traffic for the purposes of accounting (and thus, billing, where applicable).

Though the extra Rs50 fee for DC++ is a bit much, I do understand it to a point: they probably are buying 100mbit/s or 1Gbit/s lines between Fivenet's CO in Sion and themselves, rather than having dark fibre (which is very expensive).

As such, they have limited overall capacity to work with and so you're basically buying the right to use a bit more of the capacity which they've purchasd.

Go for BSNL Plan 600 or Plan 750. Check BSNL's website for more details.

The Airtel love story with a very sad decline and ending (lil' scoop on FUP too!)

Update: I'm gonna give a disconnection request today. Got Fair Usage Policy'ed badly and even the nodal team has given up. They expect me to pay 1099 INR + taxes per month for 512 Kbps Unlimited. They're stubborn on this and I got call backs from 3 senior airtel executives saying I'll have to live with 512 Kbps. This is what I get after being a loyal airtel broadband customer for 2+ years.

**** airtel.

Reliance broadband, here I come. I'll opt for Reliance's 1Mbps-1099 tariff plan. Initially, I had decided to go for BSNL 3G but I trust Reliance more than BSNL. I'll not use any BSNL service ever even if it's offered to me for free. :|

Modem UT300R2U Hangs Up

Posted: 14 Jan 2011 11:23 AM PST

Hi friends,

So I am having this issue now where my modem [UT300R2U] hangs up occasionally.

The way I know that it's hanged up is when the status light stops blinking and glows continuously.

I've been using this modem since the last 3 years or so and never had a problem with it so far.

The modem is connected through an Ethernet cable and the line SNR and Attenuation are absolutely fine.

FYI, I am running Win 7 Pro 32bit, the modulation is at G.dmt and connected via PPPoE mode.

So is there anything I could do to make the modem work properly or is it just the time to get a new one?

Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks!

3G antenna for UMG1831

they are not available on local market, try sites like ebay etc, but international items may have high shipping cost or may get held at customs and you'll need
to run to delhi to get it released/justified.

BSNL 3g not working in Mumbai (not a single website opening)

Try Opera Turbo and check. Normally it works in such cases.
