Airtel home delivered a prepaid sim card to my place! Posted: 20 Dec 2010 01:09 PM PST mobile companies are supposed to maintain a connection as alive for a period of six months after it is no longer used by the customer. i guess it takes them more than a year to recycle a number. the problem is definitely the online classified sites that replicate content from other sites. and never bother to update the contact. these numbers remain indexed for a long time and someone or the other person would eventually call them expecting to find the original/previous user. |

Anybody updated UMG1831 firmware to 11.831.05.01.420 Posted: 20 Dec 2010 12:14 PM PST what version of mobile partner you are using ? my problem started when i updated firmware and used MP version 16, however I am on win7 (64bit) which is most hated by some softwares, however then i got hold of one friend's laptop with win7 (32 bit) and reflashed the modem. as you are on 32BIT already I think its not the firmware affecting you. Also seems not all drivers get deleted from earlier install for these USB modems, and they start to conflict, after installing multiple versions i had to use few driver/registry cleaners, then re-install mobile partner and use another USB port solved problem. Another option was to format the system and re-install all over, but i hated this as there are few commercial software installed and i would have to go through some lengthy process of re-activating the same. |

Vegetable rates in your area ? Posted: 20 Dec 2010 09:15 AM PST Forget the others just the tapes. A friend suggested it when i asked who could be behind it. Questions ? Can you see anything wrong with this theory (which is the real reason i mentioned it in the first place) Hehe, if i was then i would not need to discuss this here now would I :) |

new upgraded t mobile software for webconnect umg1831 Posted: 20 Dec 2010 09:01 AM PST received my new umg 1831 through ebay. The accompanied webconnect manager was the latest version 2.05. but i faced a problem. I could not register the modem to a 3g network it was always in 2g mode only, i could not find any option to select the network mode in T mobile webconnect . In last i had to install mobile partner to manually select the 3g(wcdma mode only) to register into a 3g network. |
How to check BSNL Broadband Account Usage? Posted: 20 Dec 2010 08:43 AM PST Quote: Most of us use a bandwidth meter to keep an eye on our usage. You may get one from Shaplus or Networx. |
