Posted: 01 Dec 2010 11:35 AM PST Quote: Hello, I am posting my question in this thread as I am unable to find my way to start a new thread. I have a BSNL connection, Vonage adapter from US andType 2 ADSL Model AR800V v3.0. I would like to set this up with my laptop. I know, there are probably many posts on Vonage but I just can't set this up and get [008] error code. I unplugged all and plugged back in and still doe not work. I am not sure if I have to change in PPOE settings or not. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Type : vonage essbebe in SEARCH box above for old threads. (a) If on DIALER( "Bridged") mode change to PPP/PPPoE ( Enter your UserId and PW in wan page of Modem ) (b)Enable DHCP ( see lan page usually ) Range say 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.20 (c)First ensure you are connected to Internet with AR800V. ( wifi mode OK) ( if ethernet port not available ) (d) connect the RJ45 from modem end and connect to Vonage unit. port. ( BLUE cable ) (e) Reconnect Dark Blue cable from Vonage to computer. ( for desktop) If you have a U.S number , should work. Access Ip addresss for Vonage 192.168.15.1 ID router PW router. Do not try changing settings in the unit, unless you are confident. (f) If Internet is not working, when you lift the Vonage telephone You can also hear a Voice error report. Mention vonage unit model number. (g)No need for computer to be on always for Vonage VOIP service. Feeedback item wise. |
Seems unlocking Teracom LW272 3G USB modem is possible Posted: 01 Dec 2010 10:14 AM PST Quote: Hi, there is an easy way to use other sim cards in LW272 from BSNL (I dont know about MTNL, must be the same) 1. Install the USB modem as usual 2. Create a new APN in the BSNL interface (for docomo it is "tata.docomo.internet"). Make it as default. 3. Check in Windows under installed modem options, there you will have HSPA DataCardPropritary USB MODEM 4. Create a new Dialup with your desired name and use the above modem as modem, dialing number will be *99#, user name and password will be blank 5. Go to the BSNL modem installed directory in Program Files, in my system it is "C:\Program Files\BSNL 3G Data Card\BSNL 3G\" . Change the file name BSNL 3G.exe to something else, for example BSNL 3G.abc so that it will not execute. 6.Now remove your datacard and remove BSNL sim and put whichever the SIM you want (APN should be the same) connect it again to the system. 7.The green light will glow after 10-15 seconds. Now you can connect using the new dialup connection we made. (Here onwards, every time you can use the dial-up) It will get connected in 3.6 MBPS. actual speed will be depended on the SIM you are using and the network strength. For me, when i used my vodafone (2G) SIM I got real download speed upto 104KBPS and with My docomo sim (3G) i got upto 3.14 MBPS. Please dont forget to let me know if this information helped you. I am available at jani.zeal@gmail.com Regards, Janeesh Madhav |
