i used to pay around 200 bucks for unlimited tata to tata calls from my indicom connection.

when router is in pppoe mode then it will get wan IP from ISP(airtel). and so will feed the same to the wired and wireless devices on its lan. Now how soon the wireless devices connect to the router depends on the method used to connect (like encryption, channel etc) wired might be a little faster but not as a rule.

PS : netgear doesnt have any option to put ID Pass in WAN page. its under basic settings. (make sure obtain IP is set to automatic) save settings and restart router.
(modem must be in bridge mode with its dhcp off under lan)

people are too lazy to get involved in anything like this. :D

this is what i am getting. upload speed is more than download. i am using bsnl 500c 2mbps broadband. i am not getting download speed upto 250kb. not even 100kb.
guys please suggest me what to do?

Broadband in India: Why no progress

absolutely not!!! i am a tikona user and i by no means would suggest any body to use tikona!! they are such f***ing(sorry to use it) service providers who don't even provide 300kbps(off-peak hour) speed as promised 512kbps!!! it was very happy to have used tataindicombroadband service and disgusted with tikona!!!


i had to give them a check for Rs500 for installation again a month later one more fellow came asking for a check for which i obliged and gave him another and still during my first month's bill rs500 for installatins was reflected!!! when i contacted their "bloody" customer service they just told me to block those 2 checks!!

ppl hare pls don't go behind tikona for its cheap tarrifs!!! the quality of the service is cheaper and their customer service is the cheapest!!! i stayy in bangalore, and i took a 599 512kbps plan... i hardly get 300kbps!!

its bettter that you stay wih your previous service provider!!! even i have got the same 599 plan for the speed of 512kbps. but the real speed which i get is about 250 to 300kbps and there is always a service blackout!!

Yes, I can see "CellOne" Mobile Broadband Connection in "Network and Sharing Center" but am not able to connect to Internet through there also ( have to input APN there "bsnlnet" also tried "gprswest.cellone.in".

21 mbps with a FUP of 2 gb per month.
