Depends on the speed of the disc (rpm). 5900 drives usually make sounds as they are low power drives and go into standby to conserve power. 7200 ones dont shut off hence do not need to wake up with the *click* that you hear. The LP in the drive name stands for LOW POWER.
If you hear a sound while the drive is reading or writing large files, then you have a header problem and your drive will have to be RMA'ed

I have recently moved to Saket,new Delhi and i am looking for a broadband connection. Which one do you suggest considering

1. i need an unlimited plan atleast 256kbps
2. Cost effective
3. i dont want ISP hassless

what are my options and which one do you suggest?

Is it possible to buy (recharge) MTNL Mumbai's 3G Data Recharge Coupon online or do we have to go all the way to the nearest exchange to buy one (because no shop keeps 3G data recharge coupons)?

Also can anybody confirm whether the online Trump recharge link is working or not?
