The last I checked with Airtel, they did not extend their supposedly high end plans here too. BTW, I am very positive on the progress you are making on the Mumbai front. I am ready to wait for another 6 months for Hayai to reach here. Hopefully, it wont take much longer . Just another question, would you or wont you, come up with the same full fledged plans as in Mumbai in other major AND minor cities so as to maintain a seamless level of service or quality. I do understand that sometimes you may have to adapt different strategies elsewhere. Is the idea still up in the air, or are you confident about pulling it through across all areas of coverage?

Coming down to a more regional level, how would I know if Hayai is coming to my locality? Is there anyway I could notify you'll when the time comes as the Hayai site has been under maintenance for a long time now. (Which I am very sure would be fixed by launch, but still...)

most probably the connections will be port-binded and if so then u'll not be able to use one connection using the login credentials of the other

check ur wire quality and alignment..i have 3 STB's...on two STB's colors works fine but on the third TV where the wire is old and deteriorated, i get pixellation on colors channel.

Varies.. 2nd one happened and the connection went down. Now that 4.1 is 4.9 / 5 / 5.1 etc.

I am also planning to switch to Dish TV (from TS) ; because you tested both which one is better
1. Picture quality wise 2. Sound (No of stereo channels) 3. any other


Cost : I know TS is costly
No of Channels : I know, Dish TV has more channels

I always wanted 1mbps connection at least. Reliance connection is not available at my street. Bsnl is doing feasibility study for last three days. Sales person Mr. Khushwant today accepted that he is not able to convince lineman to start working for my new connection as he need a bribe. He adviced me to contact lineman, make him happy and get the connection.

Thus, there is no other alternative as of now. Better prefer Airtel then, if it works for me. :)

@rima you think it is modem problem ? I will try to reset it and inform again.
I have a beetel 220bxI modem too. Downloading is good on that too, but loading pages, chat on yahoo is very poor.

This ones doing serious damage to the connection quality as there's no splitter installed b/w the ph & the line.

Change wiring to:

MAIN LINE->ADSL Splitter

ADSL Splitter (Phone port)-> 2-IN-1 RJ-11 female box-> Panasonic Cordless device from one RJ11 port + Standard Telephone device from the other RJ11 port

ADSL Splitter (Modem)-> ADSL Modem -> PC

Ask BSNL lines men to do this wiring job for you. Also do an external line checkup/test from your nearest telephone exchange after the wiring has been done, don't forget to take the line test report/copy back home.
