I have a MTNL DNA-A212 router with 1mbps unlimited plan on mtnl. My problem is that i have a huge latency issue in Dota 2 where i get upto 200ms latency. My friend on the other hand lives a few 100 meters from me uses a diffrent router but with same plan gets 90~ms.I want to kanow if i can chage thing on my side to improve the ping.


Also i bought a Dlink Dsl-2730U but dont use it becasue the latency i get on DNA-a212 is much better that that on dlinlk . Can this be fixed??

MTNL seems to have started new 8Mbps plans recently, dint see any thread discussing about it here.

Seems HDFC Bank is modifying its Netsafe

It might be a New Looks, or some Bag round changes, but its down since last few hours and shows the following Screen.

Lets hope something smarter is launched......

As per a leading Indian telecom information blog/website BSNL is going to increase the tariff of BB Home Rural Combo ULD 500 & BB Home Combo ULD 950 by Rs.50 and 49 respectively from the month of May 2014 onwards. And the good thing about the Rural plan hike is BSNL is removing the FUP of 512kb/s till 6GB 256kb/s after 6GB. That means 512kb/s unlimited for 550+tax. I've already used more than 10 GB on my BB Home Rural Combo ULD 500 without facing any reduction in speed last month (March). 

People who are having 950 plan are not so lucky as they're gonna pay more without any change in speed or FUP

If Mulayam Singh Yadav's Samajwadi Party (SP) were to come to power at the Centre, 'Netaji" would scrap the new anti-rape law which provides for hanging for the horrific crime. Yadav said as much at a party rally at Moradabad on Thursday. 

"Rape ke liye phansi par chadha diya jaayega? Ladke, ladke hain. Galti ho jati hai," he said. (Will boys be hanged for rape? Boys are boys. They commit mistakes.) He didn't stop at that and went on to promise that if his party came to power, he would ensure that the law is changed. "Efforts will be made to change such a law, so that those misusing it are punished. Those filing false reports will also be taken to task," he said. Mulayam made the statement citing the recent example of a court sentencing three men found guilty of gang-raping two women in the abandoned Shakti Mills in Mumbai last year. 

Yadav also said boys and girls fall in love but due to differences they fall apart later on. "When their friendship ends, the girl complains that she has been raped," he said, stressing the need for changes in the anti-rape law. 

Yadav has promised in his party's manifesto for the polls to check "the large-scale misuse" of the tougher anti-rape law introduced after the fatal gang-rape of a young woman on a moving bus in Delhi in December, 2012.

In fact, when the new laws were proposed in Parliament, the SP had objected to features including stalking being made a criminal offence, arguing that such provisions could be misused to implicate men in fake cases.

"There is a large scale misuse of laws including anti-dowry, SC/ST (atrocities prevention) act and the new anti-rape law that came into existence after 'Nirbhaya' rape case...SP is in favour of implementing them strictly and at the same time will initiate strict action against those misusing them," says the party's manifesto.

Short and SImple-
I use a BSNL EVDO connection alongside a WIFI router rendering me 1.2-2.5mbps speeds throughout the day,
while using YouTube on my SAMSUNG 46ES6200,I notice it auto plays in HD if the video supports so causing unwanted buffering at times.
(sometimes i get rock solid 2mbps+ without fluctuations,wherein it plays without any buffer).
But when I play some video which has a maximum quality of 480p,it plays lag free and buffer free,
But most channels i follow post full HD videos and watching it is a pain in the ass,

I've been hunting of someway to disable HD so that i could watch videos without hickups.

Is there any possible workaround?

Hello folks!

I've been searching for a decent connectivity in Dhayari, Pune location. I tried with AirTel, Reliance, Tata & BSNL wired/wireless broadband & everybody said, they have no coverage in my location.  In this scenario, I think I'm left with either USB dongle modems or Satellite dish connections. (Yes, I've checked with local providers too. still no luck.)

I was wondering if I can get some suggestions on this. Are there any decent ISPs providing connections via USB modem or satellite dishes?

I've already asked Airtel for LTE demo but there is no visit yet.

Any insight would be highly appriciated.

Hi Guys!

Last 10days i was facing a issue in the 500GB DVR, i have complained to the CC through mail, they sent a reply that visit will be chargeable i said ok.

Issues are:

• Frequently getting hanged, say every 2 hrs min.
• Frequently getting auto formated
• Frequently Favorites getting deleted.

Last three days service engineer is visiting and said he will update the software version, today engineer is updating with New Version v47 presently its v19.  

The Engineer said this problem for all DVR users of Videocon....

Please share your comments, the engineer said he will be coming in the late evening and update my box...
