Soon after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) offered former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly a seat to contest the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, the West Bengal Congress chief also called on the cricketer at his residence here on Sunday.

State Congress president Pradip Bhattacharya, however, described his meeting with Ganguly as a courtesy call, and refused to give it political colour.

"The meeting does not carry any significant meaning, contrary to what is being reported by the media. What he will do is his decision. I have not given any kind of proposal (to him) regarding politics. It is a private meeting," Bhattacharya said.

However, political circles were agog with speculation that the Congress was keen on offering Ganguly a Rajya Sabha ticket, or candidacy for Lok Sabha polls 2014.

Meanwhile, 41-year-old Ganguly said he got a proposal from the BJP, but had not yet decided anything in the matter.

"Yes, I have received a proposal, but am yet to decide anything. It's a big decision, and not an easy one. I will have to sort out so many things," Ganguly said.

State BJP president Rahul Sinha on Saturday said party general secretary Varun Gandhi, also the in charge of the party's affairs in West Bengal, had, during a meeting in Delhi, made the offer to Ganguly to contest the Lok Sabha polls from a constituency of his choice.

The "C" in Honor 3C probably stands for "cheaper," as evidenced by its specs. This Android 4.2 device features a quad-core 1.3GHz MT6582 SoC, along with a 5-inch 720p LTPS panel, a 2,300mAh battery, a Sony 8-megapixel f/2.0 main camera, a familiar 5-megapixel front imager, dual-SIM slots (WCDMA + GSM or TD-SCDMA + GSM), 8GB storage and microSD expansion. Like the 3X, this model also comes with dual-mic noise cancellation. The damage is only CN¥798 (about $130) for the 1GB RAM model, or CN¥998 ($160) for the 2GB RAM flavor, both of which are eating into the shanzhai price range. China-based folks can pre-order the 3C from online retailer JD.com or Huawei's own Vmall.com as early as tomorrow, and naturally, we'll be keeping an eye out for its international availability.

The Honor 3X joins the first wave of octa-core 1.7GHz MT6592-powered devices, and it boasts 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel f/2.2 main camera, a 5-megapixel 1.4-micron front imager plus a generous 3,000mAh battery. The 720p resolution on the glove-friendly, 5.5-inch IPS touchscreen may seem like a let-down, but in this case, Huawei reasoned that going 1080p would push power consumption up by as much as 20 percent, plus many folks may not notice the visual difference -- a point that Huawei Device Chairman Richard Yu has often echoed publicly.

On a brighter note, the 3X is the first phone to feature dual-3G SIM slots -- one Mini SIM and one Micro SIM -- for WCDMA (China Unicom and most carriers around the world) and TD-SCDMA (China Mobile). Better yet, both slots will recognize either type of 3G radio, as opposed to having designated slots for each. There's also a dual-mic system for in-call noise cancellation, as well as DTS audio support. The price? From just CN¥1,698 or about $280 off-contract, making it a tad more affordable than the Xiaomi MI3. Alas, there's no launch date just yet.

Specs-wise, however, we're still in deeply unexciting Galaxy Core territory, with Android 4.2 and TouchWiz running on a 480 x 800 display (now slightly bigger at 4.7 inches), a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage (expandable via MicroSD) and Europe-friendly 3G data bands.

BJP breaks silence on Sec 377, says party will never support homosexuality

BJP President Rajnath Singh said, "We will state (at an all-party meeting if it is called) that we support Section 377 because we believe that homosexuality is an unnatural act and cannot be supported." It seems the BJP has now dropped its circumspection, probably on the assessment that the gay community is not electorally significant and the party stands to suffer a dent in its traditional base if it is seen to be supporting "unnatural acts".

So, I requested a call back asking details of plans and feasibility in two close by locations including my current residence. Have got calls thrice, once they even promised to send sales executive but no one turned up. The other call said they will check feasibility at both locations and call back. The third one just took my details and said will call back. 

All this is the past week or so. Lets see how this goes.

Allright, so my reliance broadband is giving me a public IP address x.x.x.0 

As far as my knowledge, the address ending with 0 is used to represent a subnet (.0 and .255 are reserved).

Can anyone help me why am i getting such address?

Also, as always when I tried contacting Reliance customer care, their senior level engineers had no idea how it is working and also when I wrote an email asking for escalation, there was no response.

Note : I cannot ping this address from outside. I'm not sure how my traffic is getting routed with that IP.

Any help is much appreciated.
