Total War: Rome 2

Posted: 31 Oct 2013 01:15 PM PDT

"I will find a way -- or make one."

These were the words of Hannibal; Rome's greatest enemy, and one of the finest minds in military history. He would come to conquer much of Italy during his wars with the growing Republic, but before this, he achieved the impossible. In one of the most daring gambits the world has ever seen, he attacked Rome in her own backyard.

This new ROME II trailer uses Hannibal's remarkable achievement to illustrate the multitude of ways players can outfox their opponents, and demonstrates the breath-taking scope and variety of the campaign map.

Call of Duty: Ghosts

Posted: 31 Oct 2013 12:49 PM PDT

So Ghost returns? If this is true, and it probably is, I'll be lining up to pre order it this November.

UK supermarket giant Tesco has a product listing and box art for currently unannounced Call of Duty: Ghosts.
The listings cover Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms, though the Xbox 360 listing has already been removed. The PlayStation 3 listing remains at time of writing, however.

As well as outing both the unrevealed game and what is believed to be the official box art, the merchant's product listing also claimed that the sequel will be "built on an entirely new story, setting, and cast, all powered by a next-generation Call of Duty engine".

Courts vs Medical entities (Doctors, Hospitals etc.)

Posted: 31 Oct 2013 12:39 PM PDT

Why the court should not go overboard while fixing the compensation for medical negligence.

To many patients and relatives when a patient gets hospitalised doctor is looked as 'Bhagwan', as the patient gets better the doctor is looked as 'Insaan' and while paying bills the doctor is looked as 'Shaitan'!!!

'Sab ko sanmati de bhagwan'

"Failure to use due skill in diagnosis with the result that wrong treatment is given would be negligence"

The highest download speed you ever reached

Posted: 31 Oct 2013 11:46 AM PDT

Once at a friend's place (hostel) there was an unsecured wifi network, and I downloaded at almost 1MBps. I would often go to his place to download. But, after 1-2 months the network became secured and so it was the end of delight. So, anyways what is the highest download speed you have ever got?

Google Hangouts for Android Updates

- You can see who's reachable right now on Hangouts. Green icons mean they are, and gray icons mean they aren't.
- It's easier to browse your contacts when starting a new Hangout. From top to bottom you'll now see 'People you Hangout with', 'Suggested People', and 'Other Contacts'.
- Hangout invites are now located above your conversations so they're easier to find.
- Aaaand... you can hide people from the New Hangout screen by pressing on their name for a few seconds and touching 'Hide contact.'

Hopefully this resolves most of the issues people have with it!

Also are there any audio enhancement softwares for windows?

X Men: Days of Future Past

Posted: 31 Oct 2013 11:01 AM PDT

Deadline reports that Fox made quick work of replacing their vacant director's chair and will likely be able to keep their July 18th, 2014 release date as a result. Fans should be familiar with Singer's work as he wrote and directed both 2000′s X-Men and 2003′s follow-up, X2. He also turned in the script for Vaughn's X-Men: First Class along with an ensemble of other writers, including Vaughn. We also got confirmation of the title from Singer recently. It follows the 1980s' comic storyline written by Chris Claremont that alternates between a present day battle against the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and a future timeline where an assassination of a government official has led to Sentinels roaming the land and mutants held prisoner in internment camps.
The cast from the original film is expected to return, including Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy.

Should I reset modem before midnight tonight?

Posted: 31 Oct 2013 10:46 AM PDT

Since today was the last day of the billing cycle, I have my downloads on since early morning. I do not want this usage to end up getting counted in next month's cycle because the session continued past midnight.

Should I reset my modem before midnight tonight?

I lost around 4GB data on Airtel Broadband last year which they refused to add back to my account which basically got me to dump them permanently.

Ingress for Google Android

Posted: 31 Oct 2013 10:01 AM PDT

Google launches a new invite only beta augmented reality game INGRESS
(http://pulse.me/s/fpavx)

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nianticproject.ingress

Ingress is a game that uses real world locations to allow you play a global game via an Android smartphone, which is not unlike Shadow Cities, an Android game we looked at earlier. The goal in Ingress is to discover augmented reality clues and messages embedded in physical locales, and gather virtual energy which allows you to continue playing the game. The fictional premise of the game is centered on a conspiracy originating in Europe dealing with some new form of energy being released into various locations around the planet.

In order to gain access to the game you need to first sign up for an invite and have an Android smartphone available (the game isn't optimized for tablets). And while the game is currently set up for Android smartphones, it's hard to look at the game's promotional video and not instantly think of the Google Glass videos that have popped up since the introduction of the device. If that sounds like a stretch, keep in mind that Google has reportedly already made deals with real world stores to take advantage of the game, and secured in-game promotional relationships with companies like Jamba Juice, Hint Water, and Zipcar.

How do you get people to use and enjoy a product based on embedded advertisements in everything around you? Make it fun by making the process a game. Next step: Port the entire thing over to Google Glass. Genius. The game is available now for free in the Google Play store.

This looks awesome! I signed up for the beta.

Not your typical resizing application. Smart Resize will differentiate between the most important and less important parts of your picture, removing the stuff you don't want while leaving the main subjects perfectly intact, at the proper size. Smart Resize is not simply crunching or cropping your picture into a smaller frame to make it fit inside a box. With this app you can make your pictures fit perfectly in your favourite social networks. Smart Resize, developed by students Rudi Chen and Shida Li from Canada, is the winning app of the Nokia Capture app development contest.

Healthkart apparently only delivers to Delhi or NCR regions, so are there any forwarding services over there?

If there isn't, are there some members in Delhi who might be willing to forward the package[I will pay for shipping]

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2

Posted: 31 Oct 2013 08:57 AM PDT

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced that its acclaimed Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will be released for Windows PC in an Ultimate Edition in August via both physical and digital means.

A stunning sales success since its launch on PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360®, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is a dark and vivid reimagining of the Castlevania mythology. The PC edition features the full game and two add-on chapters, and will be available across Europe to download via Steam on August 27th, with a boxed product following on August 30th.

The stunning 3D epic is set at the end of days and dark powers isolate the Earth. The World's alliance with the Heavens has been threatened by a dark and malevolent force -- the eponymous Lords of Shadow. Across this shattered land, the souls of the dead wander unable to find peace, whilst creatures of evil wreak chaos and death upon the living.

Enter Gabriel Belmont: a member of the Brotherhood of Light, an elite group of holy knights who protect and defend the innocent against the supernatural. His beloved wife was brutally murdered by evil forces and her soul trapped for eternity. Neither living nor dead, she foresees the horrific truth of what is at stake and guides Gabriel to his destiny -- and hopefully salvation for the world.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: Ultimate Edition boasts a number of key advances:

· New Features: The Ultimate Edition offers the original full game plus add-on content: Reverie and Resurrection. It also boasts enhanced 1080p HD graphics, runs at a solid 60 frames per second via recommended spec, and offers trophy integration through Steam with Cloud saving.

· New Storyline: Players can immerse themselves in the brand-new Lords of Shadow storyline, meeting classic characters and experiencing tangential side stories.

· New Weapons and Skills: Overcome obstacles using the Combat Cross multi-function weapon and hone platforming skills within this sprawling adventure. Swing across chasms, climb sheer walls, rappel down cliffs, grip and pull away obstacles.

· New Titan Battles: Conquer behemoth enemies of terrifying size, where special attacks and cunning speed are required for advancement.

· New Exploration: Explore gothic ruins, dark castles, barren forests and frozen wastelands. Discover a whole world to investigate with many routes and hidden secret places that contain items to aid Gabriel on his quest.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow: Ultimate Edition will be released for Windows PC across Europe via Steam on August 27th, and as a physical product on August 30th.
