I am getting very slow speed in 3G 0.2 to 0.3 Mbps only download speed.

Despite several complaints to their Customer Care & Nodal Officer the problem has not resolved yet.

One engineer from Vodafone Network Team also visited my address with all his devices and found that the problem is correct and told me that the problem will be resolved soon.

But after 02 days I got a call from their Nodal Office that no problem is there and so nothing can be done and they cannot increase the 3G speed in my area.

What Nonsense!!!!!!!

Pathetic Service...........

This hdd crashed few days back .. So I ordered this one from flipkart

The new hdd is somewhat thinner than the old one .. but the sockets r same .. So I guess they r compatible with my lappy ..

 

Now the issue is .. When I add this hdd to my lappy the BIOS shows "Hard disk drive" as Atapi .. While the old one showed "320GB" ..

 

So basically I think hdd is getting detected by bios .. (lemme know if I am wrong) .. Although the Viao flash screen keep showing for good 20-30 seconds .. Whereas on the other hdd it just show for 2-3seconds ..

 

The issue is after the viao flash screen .. I get the message "No Operating system found" .. and when I try installing windows 8 it don't show me any hdd available to set the windows on .. So windows setup don't basically detect any hdd ..

 

My query is .. Is the hdd defected? Is it compatible with my lappy? or is there any other issue ..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am using BSNL broadband, I've used above 8 GB and according to the plan I should be getting 512 Kbps or 0r 0.50 Mbps.But when I am testing my speed I am getting 1.27 Mbps or 1300.48 Kbps.

So my brother had bought a Micromax A27(why I dont know) which seems to have 160 MB.

Now he came to my home, I helped him connect to wi-fi & it seems to have downloaded some updates. Folowing which we are getting space full issue since then, when I see - it shows 133 MB as system apps & 22 MB as application - between google play services and stock browser I see 19 MB, I cleared data and got some 3-4 MB. From the day of taking connection, internet connectivity had so many downtimes!!! i am not sure how ACT claims that it provides seemless connectivity at great speeds!!!
It should be "Useless Connectivity @ HIGH COST"
 
for past 12 days from OCT 2 ,my connection has not been working fine ,ACT has done nothing but just raise complaints and close it!!!
 
I wonder how the speed gets better when i call cust care and raise a complaint!!! ACT is a big fraud ,they commit big deals before taking connection and once u pay for 6 months ,ur money will be locked and ACT will make u dance to their tunes!! Even if connection is down for a week they wont bother as its a pre-paid connection and act got the money!!!
 
If u raise ur voice ,raise complaints they would just close it without addressing it!!
There is no provision to pay on-line for ACT BB....payment gateway doesn't work!!! ACT has made it mandatory to pay for every pick up cheque!! My question is when there is no provision to pay online y shud customers pay for cheque pick up???

My name is Vivek Sinha Anurag and i am going to post some "great" work shown by Act Broadband.

I applied for ACT Broadband 5 Mbps plan [its having cap value of 35GB after that speed will reduce to 256 kbps] by calling their customer care on 16th Aug 2011. I was surprised to see their lightening fast response as the representative came to my doorstep the very next day and on 17th Aug 2011 Mr Ashitt O.S. collected the money and documents and told me that withing 5 days i will get my connection and i even got sms confirmation that my request no is 142263.

Now the real story started. Even after 6 days no one ever bothered to check my request so i called customer care [ 080-42840000] to remind them and i was told that i will get it withing next 2 days. I waited for next 2 days and called them again.

I was surprised to learn a new technical term from them that they are "Uploading network" hence its taking time and soon i will get my connection. Since my work was getting affected because of their delay i applied for a BSNL connection too. Now today is 5th September and i am still waiting for the connection and to my surprise i got the BSNL broadband last week.

I tried escalating this matter and asked the customer care for any high level contact and they said that i need to mail helpdesk@acttv.in. I emailed them but i got no response.

Please note some points regarding ACT broadband before applying ACT broadband
1. They dont have nodal officer/appellate authority [against TRAI rules and i have already escalated this matter to TRAI officials with the help of pgportal.gov.in]
2. They have a customer base of 2500 users in bangalore and they are not able to manage even this small number.
3. They DO NOT PROVIDE STATIC IP [even if they claim to do so]
4. Their customer care service is useless. All you will losse is your balance by talking to them
5. They can "Upload network" [You can imagine the understanding capability of their technicians]
6. They are fast in collecting money but lazy in delivering service

Final conclusion: To be on safe side stay away from them else you will suffer like me. Morning shows the day and even before using their service i am suffering. Don't know what will happen when i get the connection and i face any problem that time.

Does anyone have the new 10/20/50/100 Mbps High speed plans? They seem much better than Airtel's plans. What kind of connections are they?

Connection is useless. They are barely able to provide 1.5 - 2 Mbps. Read post #109 onwards.

Thought I would start another thread for people who have actually used this service to describe their experience.

They have started advertising quite heavily in Bombay and their plans seem pretty decent. Their 600kbps UL plan would be excellent for me.

I really like the way they have bill limits for their limited plans as well. That shows they understand consumer concerns about enormous bills and have designed their plans to allay them.

So how good is their service? Any down time? How quickly do they respond to complaints? Really any information from people who have used Tikona would be appreciated.

Lumia 1320, better known by its unofficial "Batman" nickname. Sebastien Bourdais is concerned that his Fuji demotion will mean his standout performance in the race will be overlooked, just as he is looking to secure a race seat for next year.

Bourdais dropped from a sixth place finish to outside the points in 10th in Japan after he received a 25-second post-race penalty for tangling with Felipe Massa's Ferrari at turn one.

The Frenchman felt the initial result should have boosted his chances of retaining a drive at Toro Rosso next year, but now fears the penalty – which he is still feels was unjust – will mean his performance is forgotten in the season's final analysis.

Kovy stays top at Silverstone

Heikki Kovalainen completed an encouraging second day of testing for McLaren at Silverstone by remaining on top of the times at the end of Wednesday's session.

The Finn, who finished second and 0.3s behind Ferrari rival Felipe Massa on Tuesday, completed 72 laps in the MP4-23 with his best time from the morning session of 1m20.015s remaining unbeaten during the rest of the day.

It was also an impressive day for Toyota, whose strong form from Magny-Cours continues at Silverstone with Jarno Trulli setting the second fastest lap, almost 0.4s back on Kovalainen.

Heikki Kovalainen believes McLaren has made a definite step forward in competitiveness at this week’s Silverstone test and is confident the Mercedes-powered team will be able to challenge Ferrari at the British Grand Prix.

The Finn topped the times on Wednesday by 0.4s and declared himself satisfied with the way the car handled on both days.

“I think we’ve made a small step forward,” he told reporters at Silverstone.

Force India looks set to step up its relationship with Ferrari for 2009. Not only will the Silverstone based team continue to use a customer engine built by the famous Italian marque next year, Force India is reportedly planning to run a KERS energy-recovery system that is also developed by Maranello-based Ferrari.

"We will run a Ferrari engine and the electronics of Magneti Marelli," team co-owner Vijay Mallya, apparently referring to the introduction next year of a system that will store and re-use energy captured under braking, is quoted as saying by the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport.

Ferrari confirmed recently that its engine and electronics departments have been merged ahead of the major regulation change for 2009.

Force India, however, will continue to build its own gearbox, and the outfit's first 'quick shift' transmission will be introduced at the Hungarian Grand Prix in August.

Mallya said he was delighted in Bahrain, where Force India driver Giancarlo Fisichella finished ahead of the highly rated McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton.

I was on airtell and thought I would give act a chance.

Connection was done in 24 hours because our building already had connections.

Engineer came over to do the install. He has no idea what he is doing other than being able to lay the cable and connect it to my laptop.

On airtell my upload speed was 1MB and download speed was 8MB.

On act I am getting 20 MB download and 50 MB upload.

The only problem the guy was unable to configure my Belkin router.
Not only that but what was working with airtel dsl modem even that has stopped working.

Need some help to configure my belkin. 

If I connect the RJ45 jack he gave me direct to my laptop and then logon using a web browset it works.
If I hook it up to my belkin it stops working.
He has no idea what to do 

Any help appreciated.
My understanding is that I have to configure the Belkin as ppoe with my act userid and password.
Is this right ?
