well the latest reports are that lg is making a nexus phone. based on optimus g.

there are other reports which say that google is set to expand the nexus program.

any manufacturer would be able to make a nexus device as long as they meet certain requirements.

these devices once approved by google would be sold through their google play store.

so it would become more like how microsoft handle wp devices. they approve all wp devices before they are sold in the market.

google would give nexus branding to devices that meets a certain requirement and are approved by them.

all rumors right now.
