I do not understand why a cable operator advertises having HD channels.

I checked the PDF of the STB shared here by @skorpio1 (Thank you.)
As I see the STB doesnt have HDMI or even component video out.

Composite video supports only DVD resolution picture and not HD.

But thank you everyone for having discussed the details here.

yaar aise comment na do i m planing to take this plan by giving up my airtel 2mbps plan :) And i need a help i live in lucknow and currently a airtel 2mbps user but fup is only 10gb :( which is not fulfiling my need so should i go for 12mbps plan of reliance i like to download a lot and upload too. So please advice me.

well they are correct to a large extent. all awards are populist in nature. you want to please the crowd so that they attend your function in reality or on tv.
