Just got an HNS connection in Thane. Works fine on a direct conection to my laptop. Trying to set it up on my TP Link router.

I reset the router, and entered the user-name, password, Service name (HNSPPPOE).

Entered setting as Dynamic IP, and it even got an IP.
Under Connection mode, i set it as Connect Automatically, yet theres a panel that juts says "Connecting....." when i click on the Connect button.

I think its because the DNS server ips are blank. :s

Any suggestions?

DNS for HNS is 123.108.224.6 and 123.108.225.6.

Normally when the router just says "connecting" it means the service name is wrong - check lowercase/uppercase etc.

Is your account a PPPoE account - as in, do you normally "dial up" to access the Internet or does it just work when you plug in the cable and then it comes up with the login page? If you use the login page, you'll need to get HNS or your cable operator to reset the binding (and change to PPPoE on the router).

Can you ping to 123.108.224.10 when you're connected via the router?

Yes. You can change the passphrase to suit you better though - just don't make it easy to guess.

Depends on the router, I think - for most people, this shouldn't be necessary though. WPA2 is generally sufficient unless you're like, a bank.
