Hey guys i am looking for a new android under 16k bracket and was really confused between two phones the Galaxy Ace Plus and Xperia Ray.

Initially i browsed through flipkart and Xperia Ray and it costs around 18.7k there. Specs wise Xperia ray was best according to me even under the whole 20K bracket (even professional reviews say the same). 8 mp camera with 3d panorama, a basic front camera, a smallish 3.3 inch screen with 297 PPI (That's WOW as 300 PPI qualifies as iphone's retina display), bravia engine and best of all ICS upgradable.

Now the weird part, i checked out local stores and its prices are as low as 14.5k. Even eBay is selling at those rates.

So why do Flipkart/letsbuy and others charge 4k more? bizzare!! can someone figure this for me.

Ace plus had a standard pricing of 16k but doesnt flatter much like the Sony counterpart.

Movies now HD showing as many ads as movies now SD.This on D2H.Others arent that bad.

oes Airtel has any combo plans like Aircels Rs 499 plan?Which other provider has such combo plans in Kolkata circle?

And chief selector Dhoni calling him up during the subsequent South Korea cricket tour and asking him if he wants to play or rest , so that he can be ready for 2031

Nothing. its just a set of tweaks to improve network connectivity that was originally released for the HTC Inspire and some custom ROM developers incorporated these into their ROM's. the ROM's weren't specifically built for getting higher data speeds.

for me, after applying it, my download speed on enabling 3G on a 2G plan still hovers around 70 kilobits/second but the upload speed increased to 200-250 kilobits/second.

Even DTH sections arent seeing much activity (Holds true atleast the sub-section that i keep track of - D2h). Else every week we had atleast 1 new member asking for a DTH to select.

Even my servant does easy recharge,they call up the mobile dealer and ask them to recharge x amount , not online though. Also already all vouchers are colorful , these codes unless explained to rural / uneducated people . isnt going to serve its purpose much. anyone having mobile knows what recharge thier doing , mobile shop owners themselves have blackboards / cardboards put out to make the "offers of the day" .

whatever the color code is , just like the failed DNC registry ( off lately i am recieving 2-3 spam sms) , this is just another stupid implementation , corporates are going to manipulate it independent of the color code. Already Airtel is pleading me via ICICI to do all recharge online..

IMHO , the call charges cant go any further low , TRAI should now take up on the GPRS / 3G / 4G and implement base minimum and try to reduce these tarrifs . GRPS is already super costly for such low speed service

Yes, you are right. May be they would have stopped all existing denominations and new denominations would have released. If now will be done within few days.
