Just wanted to know if it is recommended to Use IPLC /Global Ethernet service from ISP's between Chennai & USA for RDP .

Also if some body has experience with India IPLC/Global Ethernet, kindly let me know

Thanks

Depends where in the USA we are talking. India > California connectivity is generally very good. States like Florida are utterly crap, for reasons including distance and shoddy connectivity to some US states.

Also keep in mind that the Gulf states are about as far as you can get from India (would be polar opposite if we kept the line in the northern hemisphere) and will never have better than ~250 to 300ms even on a leased line - unless you literally lease the entire route (which is cost prohibitive), and even then the pings won't go down significantly enough to warrant the extra expense (there are lower limits) - unless you're from some financial institution and an improvement of like 6ms means an extra $100m a year to you :D

How to file a complaint about spam SMS/Call now?

Posted: 20 Jan 2012 10:44 AM PST

If there are names, then we can at max try complaining against the numbers that they ask u to contact......that is, the number contained in the contents. And for international number, sadly there isnt any provision.

TIKONA the worst service provider

Their billing issues are increasing big time but I am sure they are least concerned about it. Its a same thing in Mumbai when they suspended hard copy billing system and say that I need to enrol for an e-bill. Telephone support guys can't send a bill but when you are emailing them (its the same support guys AFAIK) that's when they will reply back at you with a bill copy. Now what they are saying is that you need to go to self care and see for yourself. Last time when I deposited my cheque in ICICI they taken about 2 weeks to claim it. Apparently, the call centre guys are "not allowed" to reveal the mailing address of Tikona head office. Looks like a basement-chop shop type business setup if you ask me. I never had issues with the internet until the time the HDL building in Bandra East caught on fire which taken about 3 weeks to get it fixed.

If I wasn't living in a building filled with shallow headed morons I would have gone for MTNL. Tata telephone guys here having series of billing issues with people as well. I don't trust Reliance and Airtel.
