^ Shipping cost from US to India for a 500 gram packet is $44 through USPS. Customs will be charged @ the same rate for both, except for consignments marked as GIFT and costing less than 10K. GIFT clearance is not available through freight forwarders (Aramex etc)

Installation of Aircel 3G modem

Problem solved. The aircel drivers were conflicting with my EVDO modem. Uninstalled both and reinstalled and working like a charm. Aircel 3g rocks.

looking at the amount of documentation that goes into everything at IBM... i am sure that the planned product was lost somewhere in the first stages itself.

my friend works in the documentation process at IBM. seriously annoying stuff. but that's what big companies do. a whole lot of documentation.
