Facing a Problem in BSNL Broadband in KALYAN

Change your DNS servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 respectively

Reconnect to broadband and see if the problem persists

one thing to mention here if i stop start my modem. it again get connected for another few minutes but after few minutes it again went down

how long does it take to get a new broadband connection?

just make sure you do not give cash to anyone who comes to get the papers filled in.

even check is a bad move.

i think reliance does offer installation charges to be added to the first bill. though not sure.

I have Networx, Shaplus and Bitmeter. Shaplus gives the nearest value to the portal. Bitmeter sometimes gives far from truth results. But it has the best graphics and more features.

Not sure which plan to take. I want the 4Mbps one for 1350.

.:COMBO BB Unlimited:. - here it says BBG Combo ULD 1350

On the plan selector there's BB Combo ULD but not BBG. Is BB Combo and BBG Combo different? It makes no sense. One is 2Mbps and the other is 4Mbps and they cost the same.

Hi SVK,
Although the speed that I am getting in North Delhi is so poor that, in case it is reduced further then the services will get stopped completely. From last three months i am getting a speed of 50 kbps & a download speed of 2 kbps on my system.
I am not able to connect to Vodafone 3G even for a minute so far & is still using the Vodafone EDGE.
The same is happening from last 3 months & I am really tired with the Vodafone product.
I have made many complaints & they are telling me that it will be fixed soon when 3G will be launched in whole of Delhi. Till then they are asking me to wait more. I don' know what to do & feel like going to the consumer court.

Ooops I just read the fine print :readtherules: one point sticks out
Note:-1) No monthly CPE rental for above plans, one time upfront charges for CPE is payable as applicable
2) Capping of bill is only for broadband data usage and monthly service charge. Landline rental and call charges will be charged extra, as applicable.
3)Free Data Usage will include download and upload data transfer usage for the above plans.
4)Service tax extra as applicable.

So anyone who wants to opt for this please make it a point to include your upload too, if you are checking your historical consumption thru some usage meter (I use DU meter). My interest has waned somewhat for these plans as other limited plans have not counted the upload so far. :rolleyes:

I have NTSC TV and i am using atlona to convert PAL to NTSC . Also i am passing all of that to the onkyo receiver but while watching the TV my video lags considerably while playback. Anybody else seeing the same?

Try to use 3G for browsing & GSM for calls. I think they're still 'tuning' the network.

That issue has already been resolved. Admin has terminated the cstcst account and kept this one. Now I have unlinked this account from facebook(earlier I did not know I could) so I can use this account safely in public places now.

normally dc is for better speed .. but for MTNL/BSNL broadband user there will be no much difference

and i guess DC++ hosted by ISP where the downloading from the DC++ is not get counted in there regular total download (this my understanding .. correct me if am wrong)

I suggest you ask Tikona about the location of the nearest access point. If it isn't close to you (<200 m) don't touch their service. Next ask them for contact info of other users in your area. This is charges by the local cable operator and depend upon the feasibility. Spectranet does not charge this. You can negotiate the same with the operator.

2) Why shud we pat extra maintainence charges? He said it becoz of feasabilty.
This is again charged by the cable operator and Spectranet has no control on this. You can evaluate based on your total monthly cost viz a viz BSNL.

I am planning to shift to Idea.....
Of what i have heard till now is - any "Prepaid" balance standing to our name, when we switch, gets forfeited & we dont get anything out of it.....
Is this true, or just a myth?? If its just a myth, then i can switch over right now itself, coz i am fed up of giving away my balance to Vodafone. Their charges, especially STD and all are pathetic - Idea has far better plans that can suit me.
