Fivenet New Diwali Plan Rs. 5,999 for 1 Year, Upto 10 Mbps speed Posted: 11 Jan 2011 12:26 PM PST did i forgot to mention my last month data usages?? it was like 600GB no less... 200GB via internet + 400GB via DC++ DC Hub gives me from 30MbPS to 80MbPS depends on distance of host.. and downloading via DC hub does not affect my internet speed theoretically (my LAN is capped at 100Mbps thats a minus point) :) so i get a network utilization of 70-90% all the months, sometime even 100% network utilization on 100MbPS line :) i am bored downloading things and ran out of space on my HDD, that is 320GB int + 500GB ext + 500GB ext = 1300GB appx :( |
Posted: 11 Jan 2011 12:25 PM PST Quote: Quote: It's at Netvigator - Service Plan. They also offer Downstream: 8Mbps / 18Mbps / 30Mbps / 100Mbps/ 500Mbps/ 1000Mbps Upstream : 800Kbps / 1Mbps / 10Mbps / 100Mbps/ 500Mbps/ 1000Mbps. Don't you just love Hong Kong? I wonder if Singapore has similar plans... Between offerings of various European countries, HK, Singapore, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, where do you think we're taking various ideas from? The "don't abuse the network" fair usage policy is from Singapore and HK, the service levels are loosely based on those offered by PCCW, Elisa, Sonera and others. The dual-speed idea was taken from Romania, Ukraine and Singapore (1Gbit/s on the network, 100mbit/s off the network) etc. The "no speed limit on the line for data plans" was taken from New Zealand and Australia (with allowances for high usage being available coming from Australia, as the biggest NZ has to offer is 300GB, whereas Aussie has 1TB). We've been trying to implement a combination of what I consider to be some of the better ideas from around the world, and you'll probably notice that glaringly absent is anything from the UK and USA, as I don't consider either countries to have any particularly good examples of superior service. |

Posted: 11 Jan 2011 09:50 AM PST Quote: ---------- Post added at 11:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:17 PM ---------- remains to be seen what packages verizon would offer to iphone customers. no details out yet. there are strong rumors that 30 dollar unlimited plan would be there. unlimited 3g for less than 1500 rupees. :P on verizon's cdma network which is said to be very nice. it sucks that cdma service providers are considered second grade here in india. |
