Hmm, i'm not sure she was actually charged with sedition, though there was talk about it.

If you thought Android SMS system is broken, you are right!

Posted: 31 Dec 2010 11:33 AM PST

Android still has horrible text messaging bugs that'll get you fired, busted, or otherwise embarrassed -- Engadget

i have noticed this bug from day one. but then i do not use SMS (except to delete the spam sms i get all the freaking time) so it has never bothered me much.

i wish sms on android was like gmail. i get a spam button to mark sms that i do not want to receive in the future. and so on.

Your Impatience plan has just become better ,

Dear Mr. XYZ,

Now enjoy 512 kbps from XYZ date beyond your FUP limits. Airtel is wonderful company blah blah. Enjoy Airtel blah blah

Regards
Airtel

Note: The new FUP limit that will apply on your plan is 2 GB. TRAI defines broadband as 512 kbps.

very true. The marketing of airtel always tries to steal credit for the things which they havent done.. lol

Any idea y it is behaving like this..

Your signal strength is good. How you determine your speed ? Never with simple speedtest.net !

For direct download multiple files from good sites, with a good download manager.

For torrents also, multiple torrents with many seeders and some hot downloads.

My signal strength in BSNL 3G is : -83dBm
Modem is Huawei 160X
(Modem was K3565 earlier, although got it unlocked, i flashed it many times with newer firmwares, however speed problem occurred way before i flashed it first time so its not modem)
RAT: is shown as 3G in idle and HSDPA when data is being sent/receive.

Your signal strength is ok. Most of the time MDMA shows -83dBm, for me also.

I don't know the uploading capacity of your card. If it is 384Kbps, then it will show only HSDPA. If it is 0.73Mbps or more ( HSUPA ), it will display HSD+UPA.

Not et all excited about airtel's 3G service launch

Posted: 31 Dec 2010 09:34 AM PST

well the thing is that customers do not get to complain in terms of 3G about speed compared to their landlines.

i mean if your landline is giving you terrible speeds, you do have a point in complaining about that.

in case of 3G, bsnl would simply say that you are in a week signal area etc etc. there is no minimum guaranteed speeds.

so i do not think the problem would become so big in the near future. more customers would result in poor quality of service and in the end, the cheap price would just turn into a joke.
