Delhi to Agra Bus Package?

Posted: 24 Dec 2010 12:12 PM PST

a friend is scheduled to visit Delhi next month from abroad.

they are looking for a single day tour to Agra. preferably including sightseeing and travel.

something that can take them from Delhi to Agra show them around and bring them back on the same day.

anyone has any ideas what is a good place to look for such a package?

they were initially planning to book train tickets. i assume taking a bus is going to be better. convenient and fast.

I thought many times about camera flash being not available before buying Galaxy S.

Also Galaxy S is the only android phone with a front video call camera. This feature is very important to me.
Also none of the HTC Android phones come with a front video call camera. Any reason?

you might be wrong about that. HTC Evo 4G and Dell Streak have front facing camera. Wikipedia also has a couple of other devices with front facing cameras. Though, only the recent devices are providing this feature. early models did not have them. nexus s of course also has a front facing camera.

But Yeah..I was surprised when HTC Desire did not seem to have a front cam...Its specs are similar to that of Galaxy S as well..

But Also...Most of the Blackberry phones also does not feature a front cam..

I am not sure why they are doing this...They are giving out 3G enabled handsets for data alone..!!

i dont think android versions have anything to do with video calling capabilities. there is still no native app for video calling from what i know. android 2.3 was expected to feature one but it did not. you need third party apps for video calling so they are likely to work with any model. though it makes little sense to do a video call with the camera on the back of the display :D

Any body has an answer?

as mentioned above. htc does have at least one model with a front camera. :) though it is not on sale in india.

smartphones work fine with edge. of course... video calling and video streaming is not really usable. but you still get to do a lot more than a dumbphone.

i am not sure if the device would fit in pant's pocket. :)

i have to check out with nexus s which has a smaller display. i have only used the N1 which has an even smaller display.

frequent disconnections and low snr margins...

Posted: 24 Dec 2010 11:40 AM PST

What is the equipment to check Telephone pole's SNR? can I check the SNR of my neighbor's tel line , he might not have ADSL connection.

How do engineers exactly change the DSLAM port to the DE/JTO at the exchange?
Currently my SNR is 3.0 , It stayed 6.5 this morning. does Sunday (holiday) has anything to do with SNR ??

Finally, got myself a Samsung Galaxy i9000!

Posted: 24 Dec 2010 11:36 AM PST

well from what i see, nokia phones are still going to fetch a better deal in the second hand market than samsung or htc.

nokia n8's value for money offering is currently unmatchable in the indian market. not everyone cares about the OS their phones are running. they just need a functional phone with good features. nokia n8 has that. the nokia brand does not hurt at all.

i realize how popular nokia is when i go to a family function. almost every second guy (uncles and aunts) have a nokia. rich kids would have the iPhone. office going folks would have a blackberry. and geeks like me would have the odd one out... android :|
