I understand that in the first place the logo is not supposed to be displayed for the pay channels. I guess this is the norm in other countries.

The issue was identified within minutes of the service person landing at my place. He replaced the power adapter. I was charged Rs 300 for this. However all this took 5 days(including one public holiday) to get resolved. In other words, 5 days of my subscription lost. What was pathetic is that the CC promised that the issue will be solved within 48 hours and the Technical department put me on hold indefinitely. All they have to say is "I understand your problem. The issue is escalated. It will be solved ASAP". That was quite irritating when they keep repeating it. When asked for a commitment date, they did not have an answer.

In this process, I learnt that BIG TV charges Rs 175 for the service person to make a visit to your place for a complaint. If the STB had to be replaced, then Rs 500 is charged. If you want to switch to the HD STB, you get Rs 500 off on Rs 4490 when you return your old STB.

I was one of the early birds for BIG TV. This post is to share my experience. It is upto BIG TV to check how their CC and Technical dept care for customers, rather than being sorry to me.

After 7 days of free usage, people forget to recharge and then they get this error.
So go out after 7 days and shell 4200 out of your pocket for non-stop service.

Not working. Dont buy if you intend to use it in MH.
Safe way go to bsnl and buy their modem.

Looks like u have been recently stung by Tata Sky's service.......i havent used it anytime, but all i can say is, just on comparison of it with other providers, i found it too costly. I mean if u want more channels, u have to shell out anything between 5.5-6k pa......
So i have taken d2h - 3.2k pa - with its highest Diamond pack.....The only negative i saw in Dish TV was the Neo Channels' issue - was not there when i analysed, and have heard that it has been added as a package now, with premium rates......

Its not available in pune. I visited few centers and they are clueless about the availability.

Finally i had to settle for 3.6 modem.

i requesh you to start paras channel on dish tv so that we can know more about jain religion so please telecast as soon as possible we all be very thankful to you.
