Windows Phone 7 launched today! Posted: 26 Oct 2010 12:41 PM PDT Wow! this looks cool. I am already confused about selecting right OS mobile. Earlier I had made my mind for Android HTC, then I felt Symbian^3 Nokia N8 was good. Then came (bulky) Nokia N900 based on Maemo. Now Windows WP7 is launched. Blackberry & Iphone are there too. And this webOS by HP. So I really want to know which OS would sustain in long run and provide 'smartphone' features with appropriate apps as per my need. |

WALMART to destroy mom and pop stores in india. Posted: 26 Oct 2010 12:31 PM PDT What goes against Walmart (according to warthog) - It would kill competition and eventually kill Indian business - They dont allow worker union, so workers may be exploited (same like IT employees?) - In China they sell products made in China. In India they may not - With 100% FDI, Indian economy will suffer And in favour - It would provide better deals to producers/farmers and better offers for customers - Convenience of shopping But I think India is vast country, Walmart if at all comes, they would limited to 4 Metros & some 10-15 major cities. Rest of country would still have local stores. And in cities too the ease of shopping at local stores cannot be obtained by Walmart kind of stores. So I dont think Walmart is not a immediate threat to Indian economy. |

BSNL 3G Rumor: Unlimited data transfer package for just Rs. 700! Posted: 26 Oct 2010 12:23 PM PDT |
Posted: 26 Oct 2010 12:02 PM PDT Hi guys, I've been an MTNL Triband customer since February 2009. I've subscribed to the DSL NU 849 package which offers unlimited download at night (22.00 hrs to 8.00 hrs) and 1.25 GB (1280 MB) during the day. I've always been careful and never exceeded the 1.25 GB limit... in fact I check my usage logs everyday to see if I'm nearing the limit. A couple of days ago I checked the log and found my daytime usage to be somewhere near 850 MB. The next day the usage shot up to 1250 MB even though I don't remember downloading anything huge. I decided to stop using the Internet altogether during the day until the end of this month. In spite of this I found that my usage had increased to 1281 MB even though the router was turned off the entire day. Today it is at 1301 MB. Any thoughts on why this is happening? p.s. My username ends with @a and I keep the router off when not in use. |

Posted: 26 Oct 2010 11:41 AM PDT well the point is... Palm was always short on resources. HP on the other hand has plenty. They are going to ship webOS on a lot of devices. smartphones, tablets, printers and i guess netbooks too in the future. palm pre 2 is just the beginning. if HP does not mess it up, they really have a gem of a product in their hands and it can become a major player in the field. there is a lot of love for webos in the market. i also saw a report on engadget about how webos and meego are similar in nature. a game made for pre ran on meego without ANY modification. things are becoming interesting already. N900 can run unmodified webOS games, what can your Linux-based phone do? -- Engadget |

Short and Sweet comparison of Tatasky and Dish TV Posted: 26 Oct 2010 11:26 AM PDT Quote: @ Jignesh Good. But why do you take it personally? And why do you keep yourself busy in these forums 24 hours? I was shocked when you posted same thread in Dish TV as if you were taking revenge on personal level. In-fact I had created this thread using your figures in sticky threads. Do you mean that your figures are wrong? I wanted to admire your sticky threads. Again don't take this reply on personal level. Peace. Take care. |
