Posted: 24 Oct 2010 11:58 AM PDT Its now end of October and many new Smart Phones have been launched or planned for launch. I need to get a new SP with a budget of 17K and it should be Android2.1 with decent camera and Video Recorder-Player and possibly 4G enabled. Battery life needs to be large since I am on the go most of the day and evening. Could 'admin' or some one suggest: brand, model, specs. cost? |
Posted: 24 Oct 2010 11:53 AM PDT This is the great job Jignesh. Can you make a sticky thread for category wise list of channels which are not available on Dish TV. I have done small beginning here http://broadbandforum.in/zee-dish-tv...-fx-utv-world/ but nothing close to you. :bowtoyou: Same thing can be done in Tata sky section too. This will keep reminding subscribers as well as people officially related to respective DTH that those channels are yet to be added. This will take DTH platform to next level. By the way you are becoming a king of sticky threads as well as entire DTH forum. :urock: |

Workaround for extremely slow photon plus Posted: 24 Oct 2010 11:27 AM PDT if ur photon plus is giving extremely slow speeds or not working at all, try forcing it to connect in the photon whiz mode. in the dialer go to settings->Network and select photon whiz as the network what I have noticed is that my speeds on the plus network are variable(normally 1.5mbps to 0.01mbps) but on the whiz network they are quite stable(though still slow) at 12-15kBps, so switch over if the plus network is very slow.. this way atleasy you can get some use out of your card(more useful if you are on a time based plan than a data based plan) Anyone know the technical reason behind this?? only reason I can guess is that the CDMA frequencies may be free while the EVDO frequencies are very congested in my area. But this is only a guess and I dont know if CDMA and EVDO operate on the same or different frequency.. |

Huawei E1750 3G USB modem not working with BSNL Mobile SIM card. Posted: 24 Oct 2010 11:06 AM PDT I have a BSNL 2G SIM which when in 3G network shows 3G signal and gives 3G speed on Mobile handset. (GPRS activated and working) Huawei E1750 3G USB Modem: Purchased from ebay.in eBay India: Huawei E1750 3G 7.2Mbps USB Modem+Voice Call+Warranty (item 110586032411 end time 24-Sep-2010 12:35:59 IST) Firmware Version: 11.126.11.00.00 Mobile Partner Dashbord Version: 16.001.06.01.500 APN: bsnlnet Access Number: *99# OR *99***1# (tried both) Username and password: blank Works for Voice Calls, SMS and USSD but does not connect to Internet. Tried upgrading and downgrading the firmware as well as Mobile Partner Dashboard. Tried in both Connection types NDIS and RAS(modem) In Modem-Dialup mode it goes upto to "Registering you computer on the network..." and then gives the error code 619 OR 628 randomly. When using with Tata Docomo SIM it connects to the internet. Problem only with BSNL SIM Tried different SIMs fo BSNL. Postpaid and Prepaid also. |

Posted: 24 Oct 2010 09:43 AM PDT There are lots of folks from Bangalore on the forum. If you read around a bit, you will get more information on what the status of Hayai is. You can get Hayai's proposed plans here: Powered by Google Docs Hayai's strategy is to target usage and not speeds, though they have plans either way. So you can pick a data usage plan - and download at whatever is the maximum speed your line supports, or go for a speed limit plan and download as much as you want, subject to a FAIR fair usage policy - basically a very high limit, but something which borders on abusing the network, like say 500 GB a month. |
