8 mpbs unltd connection in delhi ?

Posted: 16 Oct 2010 12:31 PM PDT

Not possible. All high speed plans have caps. In fact, you will be hard pressed to find even a 1 Mbps unlimited connection without a cap. 8 Mbps connections typically have caps in the range of 25 - 30 GB

Which is your Wrist Watch?

Posted: 16 Oct 2010 12:31 PM PDT

I am yet to change my first 'real' watch - ignoring the ubiquitous 35 bucks kiddo watches - which I got 11 years back. Still going strong with no damages / repair whatsoever. Touchwood :)

Advertising a broadband plan for higher download speed (e.g.
3 to 4 times faster than the original plan) by paying fixed
monthly charges. If it fails to disclose that once the
customer exceeds a particular data download limit, the
broadband speed would be restricted as per the original
plan.
Change this airtel's crap plans are gonne for sure trai

I havn't used Mint but I do think the Kubuntu or xubuntu are a little easier to setup than ubuntu... I had to spend a week to get my graphic card driver to work on ubuntu and on kubuntu everything worked on its own :)

yes, the wifi is not through the PC. Its direct from router unless you turn the router off or disable wireless from with in the firmware.
Make sure you use WPA2 encryption and also use Mac address authentication, so you can allow only known devices for wireless. These settings can be found in the router firmware under wireless settings also read the manual if in doubt. :D

Getting low speeds - MTNL Delhi

Posted: 16 Oct 2010 08:02 AM PDT

I have a 999 Rs 1 mbps unlimited plan . These days I am getting very low speeds .

I used to get > 0.9 mbps downstream from this server .

I complained to MTNL but they said i was synced the right speeds , and my modem HG520 also shows 1152 / 509 as the speed

Any ideas ?

Need Suggestion To purchase 18.5 inch LCD Monitor

Posted: 16 Oct 2010 07:32 AM PDT

actually monitors are much cheaper than that nowadays . I just got a 20" Samsung B2030 for 6750 /- a month ago . If you want a 19" only , Dell E1909W is a decent choice . Costs ~ 5.7k . If you are willing to spend more , you can get a Samsung B2230 or a BenQ E2220 for around 9k , both are 22" and fullHD
