I said I've already asked for disconnection and also got it confirmed so continue with the same request.

Now am in the biggest dilemma between Reliance and BSNL.
BSNL: Rs. 750 - 512 kbps Unlimited No Fair Usage Policy. Provide Wireless Modem for Rs.100 monthly rental for this plan. No Installation charges till next month. Customer Care?!!
RELIANCE: Sales person has to contact and are more inclined on collecting the cheque. Details on when the connection will be made available etc. still left in the dark. Number provided of sales person didn't exactly reach a proper dude someone picked up and said send the address. Sent it and still no sound.

Reliance has plans till 2 mbps for Rs. 2500. No Fair Usage Policy. Rs. 749 600 kbps day/1mbps night. Rs. 1099 1 mbps unlimited I think both these plans come with 50 Rs worth of calls. Wonder what the customer service is like. They DO NOT provide Wireless Modem, will have to be self purchased. Rs. 500 installation charge upfront. Then whether the rest will be done or not no assurance. Any experienced users your inputs please.

Read some forums mentioning security issues and issues with the Wireless in Reliance and poor customer service and also required repeated logins, etc. Have these issues been resolved? Views on BSNL broadband and Reliance Wired Broadband as of late?!

Also Still no sound regarding the modems I mentioned Asus RT-N16, Buffalo and LeoXsys?! Any users your thoughts?

lol when I had asked for disconnection they told me they will put me on 1399 plan with 4MBps speed without Fair Usage Policy. When I told him there is Fair Usage Policy on every plan on airtel and 1399 plan has about 25 GB Fair Usage Policy the guy says ur r special customer no Fair Usage Policy will apply for u :D.......decided to continue 3 days later get call u will be migrated to 1399 plan with 25 GB Fair Usage Policy after that speeds go to 256kbps.....lol

Its pretty bad Airtel having a monopoly in BB is treating their cust like this......nd giving them false info too

Tata Docomo To Launch 3G Service This Diwali

Posted: 11 Oct 2010 12:23 PM PDT

NEW DELHI: Tata Teleservices, which has Japanese telecom operator NTT Docomo as partner, today said it will launch the next generation mobile services (3G) on Diwali day next month in all the nine circles.

TTSL had bagged 3G spectrum for nine circles in the auction held in May this year. The operator would be one of the first private secotor companies to offer 3G services. State-owned BSNL and MTNL already provide 3G services.

The company had recently awarded the equipment contract to Nokia Siemens and Huawei to roll out 3G services.

TTSL is one of those companies who operate both on CDMA and GSM technologies to offer telecom services throughout the country. The company has over 70 million subscribers.

3G services enables subscribers to download full length movies, make video calls and watch live television programmes.

BSNL DNS servers do have problems, and fault fixing time is horrible sometimes.

you can use opendns and I am sure you'll love it with bsnl broadband.

not only double the cost, you'll end up have nightmares dealing with tech. team if there's a network issue, I have experience in hosting servers, but I still see they are way behind those US based providers when it comes
to fix a time critical issue.

Good and Bad side of Vodafone

Posted: 11 Oct 2010 11:58 AM PDT

I agree vodafone is not giving any boost to their customers with good plans, Airtel GPRS is 98 for 2GB, valid for 30 days and if you cross it before 30 days, you can re-top up,

while I have a voda postpaid for GPRS, but i think i've not used it for weeks now, Have to visit their dumb store to close the connection some day.
I use airtel on laptop when not at home, and speed is better than vodafone, Vodafone did sell cheap and good modems, initially speed was acceptable, now its worst than pathetic, they FAILED 360° to maintain the speed, now connecting from vodafone makes me remember those PSTN Modem days when the speed was in Early Era of Internet in India.
