There is one version of this in the older departure terminal of Delhi Airport. Three machines running on Mac, connected to the Airtel backbone, are always on. People are free to browser anytime for free. It is another thing that the speeds suck.

I use airtel broadband. I am using it for past 5 yrs, with subscription to 250 Rs rental, 400 mb free data plan combined with 99 Rs free unlimited night download plan.
mostly bills come around 700Rs with telephone call charges.

I usually download softwares and movies during night. Till last bill august 26, i was not charged for any download during night from 9 to morning 8. But in current bill , i was charged for usage during night.

Can anyone tell me wat is happening with airtel ? have they stopped free night usage option ...in my current bill i could see that there is a key word called max slab which amounted to 2000, since my DSL usage alone was nearly 2700, it was rounded of to 2000 rs.

Ideally airtel should inform customers in case of any changes in plan or billing criteria...but in my case there is no intimation ? any chennai based users facing similar issues ?

We had the same problem. We found that the rat was not living in the car throughout the day , but rather taking food from the garbage can nearby & spending some time eating there (and maybe staying in the night) . A neighbour also was facing same issue.

We tried different methods, but finally the problem stopped only when we managed to move the car to a different parking slot in the apartment complex further away from the garbage can. A car service engineer told us that only some cars had an opening/gap for the mouse to enter,when we enquired why not other cars are effected

^ Their profession entails a lot of complicated terminologies which are otherwise hard to type fast. The software is generally tuned to help such folks out with their conversions. Regular users on the other hand use a fairly small vocabulary, which is supported by most trivial speech to text software in the market

All channel categories should be shown at once in a single screen like tatasky. Pressing blue button all the time appears like old technology. :@

This isnt a rant against specific ISP but rather a general rant on the whole broadband scene in India. Our densely populated cities should be really great for broadband penetration since an ISP has to lay lesser cables to reach more people.

Yet ISPs dilly dally on the issue of feasibility and the market is being driven by supply and not demand. Even the government does very less about it and TRAI is a mute spectator to speeds as low as 256 kbps being pacakged as broadband.

The average broadband connection speed in most countries is at least 3-4 mbps. In India when I asked for a 4mbps connection, the marketing guy said why you need such a connection sir, 2mpbs is enough :confuse:

Is there any way we can bring about a change in the mindset of the government and ISPs? Any suggesions

Nokia should first teach their social media marketing team members some basics of internet.

Why cant you people try format factory....?? Thought its a simple converter and almost all formats can be converted..!

Try to grab a copy and explore.

Dude 128 kbps != Broadband. Actually even 1mbps != broadband. It should be atleast 2 mbps

According to shaplus Bandwidthmeter I'd used >1.5GB , but really I doubt it . Shaplus meter shows continously downloading something even though I'd turned off firewall,windows update. Another strange thing is that If I download any 5mb file through (TATA DOCOMO connecting my mobile through PC SUITE) the shaplus shows only 500kb file downloaded :?

what the hec is this??? I am on 750 Unlimited as well. I used to see a ping of 129-140 , last two weeks its been really bad ping.



Pings to USA servers was beyong 2500 ms, i dont want to post , its horrible.
Any help would be appreciated.

Give me some info on how are going to help
