Posted: 29 Sep 2010 12:25 PM PDT Quote: The problem occurs because of a limitation in the current USB modem driver (Usbser.sys). 1. Removed Nokia PC Suite and installed OVI Pc Suite. It is the latest suite from nokia and it had latest drivers for Nokia modems. If you are using Windows 7 then this step is more useful. 2. In the modem configuration properties, change the maximum speed to 26000+. 3. Installed the microsoft hotfix patch number KB925681. See the description of this hotfix and you can understand. Its closely related to disconnection issues if you are using windows 7 32 bit download this Windows6.1-KB925681-x86.msu -> Language Neutral Windows 7 Hotfix Downloads -> Language Neutral Hotfix Downloads -> Downloads Let me know if this worked for you. |
Posted: 29 Sep 2010 12:04 PM PDT Quote: hello I m using MMX 300G USB modem in Ranchi and the speed is very very slow with BSNL 2G sim GPRS connection.I checked in Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test getting 0.13Mbps D/L and 0.10 U/L.This is not acceptable speed I guess.I think it is becoz of 3G signal.3G signal shows only 2-3 stick... Suggestions/opinions are welcome... Reply... But get about 2.4 Mbps speed with a 3G sim. http://www.speedtest.net/result/970986347.png ---------- Post added at 12:28 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:25 AM ---------- Quote: Even E1550 is a good option considering the price. I have purchased a Huawei E1750 from eBay India - Online Shopping Mall: Free Auctions, Shop/Buy/Sell Mobiles, Cameras, Apparel, Computers, Bollywood Clothes & Indian Products Gives speed of 2.4 Mbps in my area on 3G sim and 300 Kbps in 2G sim of bsnl in 3G network. ---------- Post added at 12:30 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:28 AM ---------- I think you are using a bsnl 2G sim card. You can only get a slight improvement in speed if you select your preferred network as WCDMA/HSDPA in Network setting. ---------- Post added at 12:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:30 AM ---------- Quote: |

Posted: 29 Sep 2010 09:09 AM PDT Quote: First of all great news that unlimited internet is available only for 1499? Now the problem is that when i connect 3g only two bars of signal (out of probably five as i have never experienced the maximum speed). I have tried to change rooms.....change the angle of my laptop.....opened the windows......but still I get two bar of signals which gives a speed of around 40KBps to 60 KBps (that is from 320kbps to 480 kbps)...which is quite slow...can someone suggest me something how to increase the speed.....some other manual way or software................................also i am not able to download rapidshare files.....it shows "your i.p. already downloading a file" even though i am not downloading.............................also what is the maximum speed you have experienced? I may be wrong but I am observing the same 3G speeds with 2 and 5 bars. |
