I m having Swift 1099 by paying 100 Rs. extra I have been promised to get the speed of 1 MBPS till the download of 100 GB data.

Now they have revised the plan. Such a scusker.

folks using asianet dataline,

try loading 56.com - ???,??,?,??? or _ÿ??_??,???,? they are chinese websites.. they are safe.... and useful.. they are the youtubes of china...

the thing is.. they seem to be blocked by my isp (or they block my isp if that is possible)... my friends with bsnl can load them and i loaded them on my system using a tata photon, i also loaded them using asianet connection, but with a proxy..

i asked asianet dataline customer care.... but they claim they donot block chinese sites... i sent them an email to their customer care but no reply..

help me out..i got no friends using asianet.... tell me what happens when u load the sites...

i also cant view photos in facebook albums.. which i could using tata photon

but i was able to load them all a while back using asianet itself...

someone is blocking someone, that is for sure.. i'd like to know who... and if possible why..

also if i should change my isp.. which is better??

dinjo_jo I have used 849NU plan for 7 months and then switched to MTNL 1 Mbps UL plan and using since May 2010. From my point of view stay on with 1 Mbps UL. Its worth the money dont go over to 849Nu plan. And 849NU offers only 1.25GB which is very less, 41.3 MB per day that's way to low.
If u want to download anything 100MB in size u need to wait till 12 Am to download it whereas in 1 Mbps UL u can download anytime.
For me 1 Mbps UL is the best plan. Wait till 2 Oct there r chances that MTNL might bump up some speeds on its plan for upcoming CWG.
My 2 cent advice stay with 1 Mbps UL.:thumb:

well, i paid 500 Rs for installation and one month rental. Today I had first outage when my connection for down for almost 4 hrs and when I called care, they said we know and we are working and at same time they told me they cant send the sms as govt of india blocked bulk SMS recently which is true.

still i facing slow connection, dont know why? i have to call them tomorrow to check for same.

I see.So you mean mean to say that in your case the speed "decreased" after you subscribed to Rs 98 plan but was better before ?

I am still wondering is it possible for Airtel to do this seperately for various plans ?

This is my first post on this forum. I have been using Beam Telecom Broadband connection for the past one year. I never had any complaints with it until recently. I'm not a competitor and this is not an effort to sabotage Beam Telecom's reputation.

I advise anyone who is currently considering Beam Telecom, to stay away from it.

1) The connection is extremely unreliable ( at least in Telecom Nagar, Gachibowli area of Hyderabad). There is no prior intimation to the customers on known outages - which have become the order of the day.

2) It is very difficult to reach customer service. You can try calling the Beam Telecom customer care number and I bet you'll have to wait at least for 4-5 minutes before anyone picks up the call.

3) The call center executives are a waste of your time. You get a standard "I understand your problem sir...", " Our Technician will get in touch with you and resolve your problem within 24 hours" etc. Nobody attempts to reach the customer enquiring if the problem has been resolved. If you are lucky the problem gets resolved. Otherwise you have to call again and get the standard "Our Technician will get in touch with you and resolve your problem within 24 hours". It has been 48 hours since I've reported a problem and a minute back the customer service executive confirmed that ""Our Technician will get in touch with you and resolve your problem within 24 hours".

This has been one of the good service providers until a few months back. Now looks like they are not able to scale up. I personally know many of my friends who'll be moving out of Beam Telecom.

STAY AWAY FROM BEAM TELECOM.

Your line attenuation is too high, usually <10 get you a lot of disconnections. You will have to complain to MTNL. Try the online complaint option the link is mentioned in some other thread.

Whatever u do you cannot increase the speed. I'm facing the problem and harassment from bsnl since august 2010 my speeds have dropped from a whopping 220kb/s to a mere 25-30kb/s. I complained to each and every officer but no use. The exchange people are illiterate and say my modem is faulty. I changed the port in the exchange,put a new wire without any joints from my DP to my pc,everything done but still the speed is lingering. This went on the whole of august i got fed up and kept quiet...Thats what they want you to do !! Suddenly come 1st sep my speed jumped and i got back my speed and as a rude shock after 15th of sep i was crawling at 30kb/s. Again i had to repeat the whole problem now my exchange technician was iriitated and said ask the broadband guys(SDE) to come and check and show us what to do.The SDE also said its a LA problem and i will come to the exchange and verify it . Its 3 days now no response of him coming. But still u have to be back of these people to get your work done.
Dont ever trust a lineman coz they can only change wires,instrument and bring a stable adsl lamp on thats it. They are useless and a burden to the economy coz they are lazy, idle their time in gossip and blame others for the problem.I faced a lot of problem from these illeterate people. They cant understand a word and read properly. Would you believe i live just 100mtrs from the exchange. WHAT A SHAME I GET THIS SPEED AND TREATMENT !!
Its time BSNL pulls its socks up and gets their act together and employ people sound in technical knowledge. Do you agree?
