as of getting speed in mobile with 2g sim is possible as u need to change setting in mobile to umts from dual.

Only use open dns and google dns.....

Something has happened since morning may be in hauz khas exchange, or else the google dns ping wont go to 400.....and sites are either not opening or opening with good speed, its not dns issue...its resolving in to dns fine..even pinging fine.

Forgive for a newbee question. I have an STB in Chennai. Now i have moved to bangalore. Can i bring the STB from Chennai to here and hook it to the local cable here?

it is quite simple

it is like running another computer from your computer .U type the ip address and user id and pass provided and enter a computer in say US with speeds on 1 gb line.Pm if u want link to site where people sell this so u can understand better as posting here another forum is not allowed cheers

Is it really a static IP? Or a "SHARED" Static IP. (I can't confirm this)
I have static IP (shared with 100's or more) on my BSNL NIC Connection :P

i finally found a number for Airtel IPTV support line it is +91-11-4444 1111 or u can dial +91-11-4444-4111 from a mobile phone. it is showing up a little sumwhere in airtel iptv website. i called them up and they said if your old remote is damaged or not working and it is just accidental and not intentional they would replace it with the new (upgrade) one. they dint mention anything about intentional damage to it by the user and the Rs. 200 damage charge etc.

I also asked them when are they coming with HD for IPTV and they had no answer or update on the same. The airtel IPTV support line call is routed to Bhopal, M.P.

You might want to post it or update the Airtel IPTV Support line number all over the forum.

I just had my connection 4 days back.. As u had rightly pointed.. I am not sure which plan i am in!!!. I have to check it out. But, my speed is not constant.

I tried disabliing firewall/antivirus, also tried TCP/IP OPTIMIZER, was working fine for couple of hours(broadband speed was 900kbps and Download speed was 170 kb/s ) again my downloading speed reduced to 20KB/S.
please help me

How to enable DHCP in modem. When I click on Modem it does not have any thing to enable. I am not computer litrerate- how do I do it?

dude if its is the old modem of 2008 type i can make sure it has some messed up firmware.In 2008 when i has bsnl my modem would disconnect every 5 to 10min .I called the lineman he gave me a clean but still it would continue to disconnect so i moved to airtel than.Now when i got the new line i used my old modem that i used 2008 .the day i got connection it again started happening was like wtf than changed this setting since than no disconnection ! dont ask me how to explain this i dont know lol

Use Opnen DNS, Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222 and Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220 or use Google DNS, Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8 Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4
