Lamborghini Sesto Elemento concept may be the tease of Paris

Posted: 28 Sep 2010 01:39 PM PDT

Is this the concept car that Lamborghini has been teasing us in such an achingly slow manner leading up to this week’s Paris Motor Show? All signs point to yes, but it’s still too early to know for sure. In any case, the Sesto Elemento – if it is indeed the next Lambo to be hung on the walls of teenage boys from Constantinople to Timbuktu – will push forward with the jet-fighter-ish angular styling theme set in motion by the limited production Reventon from the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show… for better or for worse.

As expected, the Sesto Elemento (which translated to English means Sixth Element – we’d expect some sort of Bullish name if it hits production) is crafted almost exclusively from carbon fiber. That means it’s light… as in just 2,200 pounds (999 kilograms) light. That’s seriously low for a V10-powered supercar, and it means an estimated 0 to 62 (100 kilometers per hour) run of just 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 217.5 miles per hour (350 kph).

With a weight that low, we wouldn’t expect any kind of hybrid powertrain, but you never know. It’s not really possible to get a good feel for the appearance of the Sesto Elemento based on this grainy photo, but we’re certainly intrigued. Stay tuned for a full high-res photo gallery of Lambo’s latest concept after our coverage begins in earnest this Thursday. Thanks to all who sent this in!

Lamborghini’s Paris Motor Show teasers – Click above for high-res image gallery

With just days to go until its full unveiling at the Paris Motor Show this week, Lamborghini has released the fifth teaser shot of its mysterious and hotly anticipated new show car. This latest image follows the one released just yesterday, and if we had to guess, we’d say we were looking through a roll hoop behind the cockpit at the steering wheel inside. But if you’ve got a better guess, do share in the comments section below.

What else can we tell you about the car of which we know so little about? Well we just answered our own question. But we’ll have more in just a couple of days, and Lamborghini will undoubtedly keep us guessing until then, so hold on to your hats.

Kia Pop concept

Kia Pop concept – Click above for high-res image gallery

Though details are sparse, we know that Kia‘s wedge-shaped, battery-powered, three-seat Pop concept, will roll onto the stage in Paris any day now. According to Kia, the sub-10 foot long Pop brings, “innovative design chic and dramatic styling to the city car segment.” We agree, but you could also say that the Pop adds some fizz to the vehicles that ordinarily fall into the city car class, no?

Kia promises that, “further information will be released in due course” but the automaker has provided us with a group of new images of its striking Pop concept. So, hit up the high-res gallery and check this door-stop concept out. What’s your response? Positive? Negative? We’re split on this one. Just give it a look and then drop us a comment below. We’re sure to have more on the Pop concept, including some live shots from Paris, so check back soon.

You mean cache would incease speed of already accessed pages of IBF? I guess then its really faster and pages which I normally accessed are really faster compared to earlier.

BTW migration seems to be big task for you. When are you planning to do it? Select some time when there would be national holiday or big festive break (ofcourse if you are willing to work during that time), as at that time activity at forums would be less. And by that time google search could also refresh itself to new links (though I have no idea how it works).

Report: Jaguar’s Paris concept to be called C-X75

Jaguar grille emblem closeup

At the end of August, Autocar revealed details of a concept car that it said Jaguar would bring to this week’s Paris Motor Show. That concept car is now said to have a name – C-X75 – and not much else is known about it beyond the speculation we already have.

Laid out as a pure concept, it reportedly isn’t meant for production, but rather to tip Jaguar’s hand about the company’s future plans for design, luxury and sustainability while celebrating the marque’s 75th anniversary (hence the name). That means we can probably expect a glimpse of a new grille treatment and supposedly a V6 hybrid powertrain, both indicative of what could be seen on the next generation of Leaping Cats that will begin arriving in 2012.
